The documentary exhibition entitled 'The imagined comedy' is proposed as part of the Francesca 2021 project.
Dante's Hell, Purgatory and Paradise illustrated by famous artists, shows the birth of the 'imagined' Comedy in the
meaning of the story through images.
The exhibition collects some rare examples of ancient Comedies together with the most recent forms of illustrated
writing: from graphic novels to manga up to pop-up books. in addition the splendid lithographic plates made in
1850 by Franz Adolf Adolf Stürler complete the exhibition.

Amintore Galli Theater: Don Juan

Theater Season 2021/2022 of the Amintore Galli Theater
On the original score by Marc Álvarez, the sixteen dancers of Aterballetto tell the story of Don Juan in a single act.
In the choreography, capable of underlining nuances and emotions, we find all the characters of the story, from
Donna Elvira to Donna Anna to Zerlina and Masetto. The dance becomes a magnifying glass of the individual
characters and revealing the interior world of the men and women on stage in a subtle but evident way.
Even more important is the connection with contemporaneity and relevant themes appear in the background,
including the complexity of the dialogue between genres.
Through an innovative psychoanalytic and Freudian reading, Don Giovanni's relationship with the figure of the
Commendatore is rewritten, replaced by the introduction of a "Mother". And Don Giovanni becomes a human
being who probably suffered the great trauma of maternal abandonment. In every encounter with the other, the
serial lover looks for his mother and therefore cannot engage in any relationship or situation.

The ‘fogheraccia’ – St. Joseph bonefire

The traditional bonfires of St. Joseph
That of ‘fogheraccia’ is a very ancient custom, a propitiatory rite for an abundant harvest, which is linked to the
Roman calendar, according to which the year began in March, dedicated to Mars, god of agriculture, as well as of
war .
This rite greeted the beginning of the agricultural year with the lighting of bonfires made of brushwood, straw and
what remained of the previous year's crops together with dry branches deriving from pruning practiced in view of
the summer.
Here in Romagna the preparation of ‘fogheracce’ has always been a ritual in itself: the peasants lit fires to burn
the pruning while in the days before the anniversary, young people, children and the elderly, collected objects no
longer used, old furniture, rags and piled them up to make bonfires. In Romagna they are traditionally called
Focheracce or Fugarine di San Giuseppe, because they are held on the occasion of the feast of St. Joseph and of
all fathers.
These were moments of village aggregation, as Fellini masterfully describes in "Amarcord", which are still alive in
the soul of Rimini. As a matter of fact, every year, in the evening of March 18th, Rimini celebrates the feast with
the traditional bonfires often accompanied by music, donut and mulled wine, without forgetting the typical piadina.
The biggest bonfire in Rimini is on the free beach in Marina Centro, in the canal port area. Here from the
afternoon a market of various kinds animates the promenade with colorful stalls (from around 4 pm). Turning on of
the fogheraccia at about 9 pm.

7th edition
Rimini Marathon is the great national and international sporting event, which involves an entire city, touching the
most characteristic and evocative places and squares.
In addition to the marathon, there will be: Family Run 9 km, Kids Run of 1.8 km and the national running event,
TEN MILES over a distance of 10 miles, or 16,094m, FIDAL approved.
Also this year, the national gathering of wheelchair "pushers" will be re-proposed, or groups that make disabled
people experience the thrill of a marathon, pushing wheelchairs for all 42 kilometers.
The marathon village is set up in the Arco d'Augusto.

On the beach of Rimini
A human writing made up of about 10 thousand people who will arrange themselves on the shoreline of Rimini
beach to form three words with a very clear meaning: 'STOP CLIMATE CHANGE'. This is the goal of the
volunteers of The Climate Route, the social promotion association organizing this original and unprecedented
initiative - with the support of Rimini Municipality - scheduled for next March 26. Anyone who wants,
can participate by registering for the reservation of the place useful to form the sign 'Stop Climate Change'.
The entire initiative was designed to raise awareness among the widest number of people about climate change
and its effects.
The writing will extend on the beaches of Rimini for a length of about 500 meters with about 10
thousand people. Here the numbers: 9226 participants involved; 503 meters long of the inscription; 32 meters
wide of the inscription; 2.5 kilometers of perimeter of the entire writing; 6,500 square meters of floor space; 620
km altitude - the distance from which the satellite will take the photo.
The involvement of such a large number of individuals will also allow the city of Rimini to enter the Official World
Record.
The time window was indicated by the French agency AIRBUS DEFENSE & SPACE according to the trajectory of
the Pléiades Neo satellite specifically programmed to pass over the Rimini coast line on March 26th at 11:02 am
and thanks to the indications and collaboration of Planetek Italia which contributed to planning the initiative.

Monjour is a "contemporary cartoon" made up of bodies in flesh and blood, guided by the irony of Silvia Gribaudi.

The 2021/2022 edition of the theater season, presents a wide program of shows - from prose to operetta, from
dance to author's monologue, from comedy to contemporary - which is divided into two theaters, the Galli Theater

The first time of the Penne Nere ('black feathers') in Rimini, on the centenary of the national gathering
The 'Black feathers' (this is how the Italian mountain troops are nicknamed) arrive for the first time on the
Riviera.
It will be a special edition because 100 years have passed since the first spontaneous meeting of the Alpine
troops. The gathering, at first scheduled for May 2020 in Rimini, has been postponed to May 2022 to cope with
coronavirus emergency.
The 2022 gathering will be the first held simoultaneously in Italy and abroad, involving the territory of San Marino.
The 'Alpini' registered in ANA are approximately 350 thousand, divided into 110 sections, 80 in Italy and 30
abroad. Among them there will also be 4,500 members of the Bolognese-Romagna section of the Ana "Angelo
Manaresi", chaired by Vittorio Costa, who also includes citizens from the Republic of San Marino.

“Crossroads Jazz e altro in Emilia Romagna” is a traveling festival that takes place throughout the region, and is
one of the major European initiatives in this area.
From 4 March to 24 July 60 concerts involving about 450 artists and over twenty municipalities.
The jazz styles, range from the African-American mainstream to the European avant-garde, from gypsy jazz to
fusion, from swing to the most current hybridizations of musical languages.
Crossroads 2021 is organized as always by Jazz Network in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the
Emilia-Romagna Region and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and other institutions.
A prominent appointment is with the Israeli singer Noa, who on July 24 is at the Galli Theater in Rimini for the
celebratory tour of her 30-year career. The artist, who has been awarded multiple awards for her commitment to
peace and human rights, is accompanied on stage by Gil Dor (guitar), Ruslan Sirota (piano), Or Lubianiker
(electric bass) and Gadi Seri (percussion). The show is in collaboration with Percuotere la mente.

International Classic Motorbike Challenge and MTI Expo
Transitalia Marathon is an international off-road motorcycle event, which allows you to relive the atmosphere of
the great rallies of the past, combined with the passion for true adventure on two wheels.
The eighth edition of this event of the International Motorcycle Federation starts from piazzale Fellini in Rimini on
Monday 26 September to arrive in Teramo on Thursday 29 September, after having crossed much of central Italy.
The event, in addition to the journey to discover new panoramas and itineraries for the participants, sees two
important innovations: the new category C1 Concept, which arises from the desire to implement the tourist
character of the event with the entrance to the most characteristic villages present within the itinerary. Then
the Village del MTI Expo, a three-day event entirely dedicated to motorcycle tourism which takes place from 23
to 25 September in Piazzale Fellini in Rimini and which sees the presence of leading partner companies in the
sector, local excellence that offer enthusiasts and curious typical local products and a full calendar of events,
motorcycle tests and demo rides.
It is possible to register for the event starting from 1 February 2022.
450 are the places available for the eighth edition (350 + 100 for the NEW Concept C1 category), 6 regions
crossed (Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Lazio and Abruzzo), 4 stages and over 1000 km to cover.

Opera at Galli theatre: season 2022
Mozart's masterpiece makes its debut at the Galli Theater in a prestigious staging that director Ivan Alexandre
originally created for the stages of the Drottningholm Palace theater and the Opéra Royal de Versailles.
The opera arrives in Rimini thanks to the Opéra National de Bordeaux in collaboration with the Gran Teatro del
Liceu Barcelona and the Alighieri Theater in Ravenna.
The show is proposed as a return to the origins of the playful drama born in 1787 from the collaboration between
Lorenzo Da Ponte and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
On stage an international cast where the voices of Iulia Maria Dan, Julien Henric, Leonard Bernard, Arianna
Vendittelli, Robert Gleadow Megan Marino and Leonard Bernard stand out, directed by the baton of Antonio
Greco on the podium of the "Luigi Cherubini" Choir and Youth Orchestra.
With the sets and costumes designed by Antoine Fontaine and with the evocative lighting design created by
Tobias Hagström-Ståhl, the figure of the seducer enter our imagination forever.
