Day Ticket Information Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain Day Ticket is £36, this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of two shows in the year at £36 per show. It covers owner and rider membership, together with horse registration for that show. If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days. British Show Horse Association Non members may purchase up to a maximum of two day tickets per exhibitor, per horse, per person, per season. A Day Ticket will allow entry into Novice, Amateur, Young Rider, Home Produced, Working, In Hand and Open affiliated classes only, but will not allow entry into RIHS or HOYS qualifying classes. Horse registered on a Day Ticket do not require a JMB height certificate. Competitors can apply for a Day Ticket online or by downloading an application form from www.britishshowhorse.org. Irish Draught Special Incentive Cards To be awarded by Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to the highest placed pure or part bred Irish Draught exhibit in classes 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 707, 710, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715, 716, 717, 718, 719, 720, 721, 722, 723, 755 and 756. All exhibits must be registered or identified with the IDHS(GB) on either their Pure Bred or Sport Horse Register. Registration number should be stated on the entry form. Irish Draught Society (GB) Challenge Qualifier The highest placed horse, not already qualified, from classes 701, 702, 703, 704, 739, 740, 755, 756, 757 and 758 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Registers, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding, will qualify for the Final of the IDHS(GB) £2,000 Challenge. Horses need not be registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to qualify but must be on the IDHS(GB) registers by the time of the Championship which is held at the IDHS(GB) Annual Breed Show on 22nd and 23rd August 2020 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire NG32 2EF. A horse may only qualify for the final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS(GB) that they have qualified for the Final. Following submission of the online form, a qualifier’s pack will be sent directly to the qualifier. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money and a trophy. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed pure bred Irish Draught will be awarded a trophy and £100 and the highest placed Sports Horse will receive a trophy and £50. 14
Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain £100 Premium Will be awarded at the Judge’s discretion to any mare gaining a prize in classes 712, 714 and 716. It will take the form of a Service Voucher to be used towards the covering of the mare by any SHB(GB) Graded or Life Approved Stallion in 2021/2022. The owner must be, or become, a fully paid up member. Only one award per year can be accepted. Premiums will only be awarded if there are a minimum of three mares forward per class. The Langaller Farm Broodmare Premium Award Rosette and £75 voucher will be awarded to the highest placed Broodmare in classes 712, 714, 716, 725, 742 and 747. Redeemable against any stud fee for a stallion standing at Langaller Farm during the current or following stud season. Only one award per mare per season. Where the winning mare has already won a voucher in the current year, the award goes to the next highest placed eligible mare. BSPS Classic Services Group Challenge This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Classic Services Group Challenge. Animals will qualify by competing in an appropriate open class - leading rein, first ridden, leading rein of hunter type, open show pony, show hunter pony, cradle and nursery stakes, working hunter pony, intermediates, heritage leading rein, heritage first ridden, heritage ridden and heritage working hunter pony. Ponies must not have qualified for 2020 Horse of the Year Show. If a pony qualifies for the Horse of the Year Show it will forfeit its qualification into the Challenge. All ponies must be registered with the BSPS and registration numbers stated on the entry forms to compete is classes with RIHS and Blue Riband Qualification. Standard Shetland Ponies Saturday in the Matford Arable Ring Judge: Mr R L Griffiths, GOWER (Ladbury) Entry Fees inc VAT - Members £18, Non Members £23 Prize Money - 1st £35.00, 2nd £21.00, 3rd £14.00 These classes are run under the rules of the Shetland Pony Stud Book Society. Animals must be registered in the Shetland Pony Stud Book. Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All entire males two years and over must display a stallion disc. Children under 14 years old may not show colts or entire males in in hand classes. SPSBS rules require that exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring and all handlers aged 14 years or under must wear a hard hat. 79

Owners do not have to be NPS members to enter these classes but only ponies owned by NPS Qualifying or Life Members can qualify for the final. The highest placed pony in each class owned by an NPS member will qualify for the final. If the first has already qualified then the second may qualify (as long as they are NPS members), if the first and second have qualified then the third may qualify (as long as they are NPS members). Qualification may go no lower than third place. To receive qualification owner’s membership cards must be shown in the ring. The right is reserved to amalgamate or divide classes if numbers forward dictate. 833 Standard Shetland, four year old or over, mare or gelding. Champion & Special Prizes H115 Champion Standard Shetland Pony to receive a Devon County Show rosette and the Danesborough Perpetual Challenge Cup offered by Sir Jeremy Boles Bt (83). The winning animal if eligible will qualify for the Horse of the Year Show Supreme In Hand Championship Qualifying Competition on Saturday 23rd May 2020. The Shetland Pony Stud Book Society offer a Champion and Reserve Champion rosette. H116 Standard Junior Championship to receive a Shetland Pony Stud Book Society rosette to the Best one, two or three year old. H117 Shetland Pony Stud Book Society Best Foal rosette for the best foal exhibited with its dam in class 833. H118 Shetland Pony Stud Book Society Best Gelding rosette to the highest placed gelding in class 833. H119 South West Shetland Pony Group rosettes to the highest placed pony owned by a member of the SWSP Group in each of the above classes. Please note a current membership card MUST be produced in the ring. H120 Wessex Shetland Pony Group rosettes for the highest placed member in each of the above classes. Animals must be registered in the Shetland Pony Stud Book. To compete in this section ponies must not exceed or be expected to exceed 34 inches at maturity. Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All entire males aged two years and over must display a stallion disc. Ponies must be registered with either the National Pony Society, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register or the British Show Pony Society and a copy of a valid JMB height certificate lodged with that Society. Riders and owners must be members of either the NPS, Ponies (UK), TSR or BSPS. Classes 866, 867, 868 and 869 are qualifying classes for the Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 7th-11th October 2020. All data given upon entry of these classes are provided to Grandstand Media Limited and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. The highest placed pony that has not already qualified for the 2020 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class, will qualify. Qualification will not pass below 5th Place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. The entry fee includes a £13 contribution to the Horse of the Year Show. Marks will be awarded in the following way: Phase 1 (70 marks) A. Jumping Points 50 marks B. Style while jumping 20 marks Phase 2 (30 marks) C. Conformation, Type & Freedom of Action 20 marks D. Manners & way of going 10 marks In the event of equality, the Total Mark from Phase 1 will take precedence, followed by the Manners Mark, and then Conformation, Type and Freedom of Action. This is a Qualifying Show for the BSPS Championships held at Arena UK and the 1st and 2nd prize winners (if eligible) will qualify from the working hunter pony classes (excluding the novice class) and 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize-winners (if eligible) from the Intermediate Working Hunter class to compete at the championship, provided that the ponies are owned and registered by BSPS Showing members and ridden by BSPS members. 96
Classes 866, 867, 868 and 869 are qualifying classes for the BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year. 1st and 2nd prize winners will qualify for the BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year provided the pony is owned, registered & ridden by a BSPS member. BEST RIDER - The Best Rider in each of the following Open classes at all BSPS Affiliated Shows will be awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the ‘Black Country Saddles’ Rider of the Year at the Summer Championships Show: 133, 143 and 153 Working Hunter Pony classes. Working Hunter Pony Competitors must declare at the Matford Arable Ring Commentary Box one hour before the start time of the first class. Ponies that are placed first in classes 866, 867, 868, 869 and 870 will qualify for the BSPS The Binks Family Champion of Champions. This is a qualifying show for the NPS Summer Championships held at Three Counties Showground, Malvern. Classes 866, 867, 868 and 869 are qualifiers for the NPS/Rivervalley STUD Open Working Hunter Pony National Championship. 866 Horse of the Year Show National Pony Society/Mole Valley Farmers Working Hunter Pony not exceeding 133cm, mare or gelding, four year old or over. Riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. 867 Horse of the Year Show National Pony Society/Mole Valley Farmers Working Hunter Pony exceeding 133cm but not exceeding 143cm, mare or gelding, four year old or over. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. 868 Horse of the Year Show National Pony Society/Mole Valley Farmers Working Hunter Pony exceeding 143cm but not exceeding 153cm, mare or gelding, four year old or over. Riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. 869 Horse of the Year Show National Pony Society/Mole Valley Farmers Open Intermediate Working Hunter Pony exceeding 153cm but not exceeding 158cm, mare or gelding, four years old or over. Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before 1st January in the current year. 870 BSPS Novice Working Hunter Pony or Intermediate Working Hunter, mare or gelding, four year old or over, not exceeding 158cm. Mixed height class for working hunter ponies and intermediate working hunters. Competitors must jump in their correct height section and be the correct age for the height of the pony. Riders with ponies of the relevant height must declare if they are competing in the 153cm section or the Intermediate section. Champion Prize H155 Champion Working Hunter Pony receive a Devon County Show rosette. From to classes 866, 867, 868 and 869. The Champion will qualify for the BSPS Binks Family Champion of Champions. 97
