Sabbatical a whole new world Let the adventure begin Every five years, you’ll get a month of paid time off to do whatever you want! If you travel to a country you've never visited, Epic will fund airfare, lodging, and other expenses for you and a guest. It's our way of encouraging you to expand your horizons and experience something entirely new. Fun Stuff for laughs Epicnic You and your family are invited to celebrate with food and activities at our annual all-company picnic. Doing Good for a better world Charitable giving Each year Epic creates a list of charitable organizations to receive donations. You can nominate charities to our annual giving list and then choose organizations for Epic to give to on your behalf. Company-wide drives Donate canned goods for local food pantries, children’s books to promote early literacy and school readiness, and participate in onsite blood donation through the Red Cross. We also share extra food from lunch with food banks and used computers with schools in need. Charitable sabbatical If you lend a hand in some charitable work while you’re on sabbatical, Epic will make a donation on your behalf. Guaranteed Ride Home Program If you normally carpool, ride your bike, or take the bus and an emergency arises where you need to get home from work, the City of Madison offers cab reimbursement for up to six rides per year. Short and long term disability plan Epic’s short and long term disability plans pays 60% of your monthly earnings beginning either 1 or 2 weeks after the date of disability (for short term) and 3 months after the date of disability (for long term). Time away from work You can take up to 12 weeks of parental leave following the birth or adoption of a new child, plus up to 12 weeks of part time work after that. Paid Parental Leave All parents receive 2 weeks of consecutive time off at 75% of your salary. Health coverage for you and baby In-network prenatal care, labor, and delivery is covered at 100% with our health insurance options. Comprehensive orientation and training New staff engage in orientation, role and application training, and industry learning. Onsite ongoing learning We offer advanced computer science courses led by University of Wisconsin faculty, bring in industry experts for panels, and provide year-round classes ranging from software project management to delivering effective presentations. Monthly all staff meetings help keep everyone (all 9,500 of us!) in the know and our annual Users’ Group and Expert Group meetings are an opportunity to exchange innovative ideas with our customers to improve quality and patient care. Professional Development Fund Each year, you receive $50 to help fund your growth at Epic through books or A/V materials. Epic Labs Epic Labs foster innovation and give you the chance to design projects that leverage cutting-edge technology. Work internationally in Epic Corps Staff working on international projects make up Epic Corps.
