UCD Internship Programmes U CD has an extensive range of programmes across all colleges, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, that include an internship as an integrated part of student study. This provides a valuable opportunity for organisations [large and small, commercial, NGO’s or not for profit entities, etc.] to draw from a talented pool of students at an early stage in their careers. Organisations that provide internship opportunities to UCD students gain positively from the experience: • Interns can be assessed for their potential to fill future positions. • S tudents can be assigned to undertake specific tasks or work projects as needed. • Students bring new and updated skills and fresh ideas to the workplace. • E ngagement with UCD increases the potential to develop linkages and collaborations across other areas within the University. The Calendar for Internship Programmes opposite depicts the range of programmes with integrated internships across the six colleges in UCD. In each case the availability of students is highlighted. In a number of cases, where student interns from a group of related programmes are available to hosts at the same time, the programmes are identified as a programme group. These groups are listed separately here: a breakdown of the individual programmes that form part of a group is provided.
