INVITATION TO #EAC19
It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2019 European Air Show
Council Convention, this year to be held in the historic and
mythological city of Athens.
Steeped in history and over 3,400 years old, Athens provides a
beautiful backdrop to our 2019 convention and the ideal
opportunity to make a short break and take in the sights, smells,
and tatses of this magnificent venue. We look forward to using
our new hotel for 2019, The Royal Olympic, in the very heart of
the city, meaning you will be immersed in the culture and
history from the very start.
This years convention will again be an excellent mix of
presentations on safety, human factors, innovation and
experience as we continue our aim of promoting Safety and
Excellence in Airshows. With speakers of varying backgrounds,
nationality there is something for everyone in our line up. Of
course there will be plenty of time for Networking, our
exhibtion area will be open throughout the event and its the
ideal opportunity to promote your business and services for the
2019 season and beyond.

ABOUT
The 2019 Convention is being held in the historic city of Athens
on the 28th February to the 2nd March. This is part of the EAC's
aim to visit a different nation every three years, this year we are
hosted by the team from Athens Flying Week.
What is the EAC Convention About?
The Convention is about bringing members of the European
Airshow Community together in one place. From Organisers to
Performers, Regulators to Military - our aim is to spread best
practice, learn from each other and develop the industry
further, meeting the changing demands and challenges of the
future.
With Presentations, Special Seminars and Exhibitions stalls, this
is a great event to develop understanding, forge new
relationships and cement plans for your business and events.
Whether your looking for a new act, a new venue, gain a better
understanding or speaking with suppliers, sponsors and other
industry professionals, this is the place to do it. With
entertaining presentations on key issues, future development,
technology and safety, there is something for all to develop.

THE HOTEL
We are a family run five star property in the centre of Athens. The
hotel lays just in front of the famous Temple of Zeus and National
Garden. We are underneath the Acropolis and only 2 minutes walk to
the new Acropolis Museum.
After our complete renovation that finished in 2009, the Royal Olympic
was transformed to an art hotel very elegantly decorated and more
important very well looked after in every detail. One of the aspects
given particular attention to, was to create a very personal hotel and

Restaurant - Bar opened recently offering the ultimate dinning and

Take a Short Break
Why not make your trip to #EAC19 a short break away?
With so much to see in Athens, theres always the option
to make a short break of your visit to the 2019 EAC
Convention. With an average temperature of 17 degrees
in March, its pleasant enough to walk, talk and explore
your way around this ancient city.
We have a partner programme available, if you are
attending with another, which will take in some of the
many sites and sounds of the city, meaning they can be
your guide if you want to stay for a few days after.
Additional nights at the hotel can be booked directly with
them if you mention EAC before the 1st December, you
should get the preferential hotel rate. Alternatively, there
are so many hotels and accommodation choices to choose
from.

require a confirmed number of rooms by 01 December, when
we will have to release rooms from the block booking and
