Fruitfly Eradication Programme Community Spirit, Thursday September 24, 2020 - Page 11 It is with much sadness that I will no longer participate in the fruitfly eradication programme. I travelled approximately 1000km and spent 80 hours distributing and checking traps each year; probably another 9 hours filling, emptying and washing traps so they could be reused. All Ravensthorpe traps have been filled and are ready for distribution. Hopetoun traps are only partially completed. To collect your traps, lids, refill and hangers please ask at your local shire office. The Shire needs to be thanked for their purchase of bait over many years and my thanks to those willing participants allowing placement of bait on your property. —Jan Field Did you know?
