THE NATIONAL CYBER SECURITY ALLIANCE We are the nation’s leading nonprofit promoting cybersecurity education and awareness. Our mission is to empower a more secure, interconnected world.
WHAT IS CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS MONTH? ● Launched in 2004 as a joint effort between industry and government. ● Co-lead by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cyber Security Alliance. ● Raises awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and ensures that everyone has the information and tools they need to be safer online.
DO YOUR PART. #BECYBERSMART ● Launched in 2020, “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart” is the overarching theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month. ● Emphasizes that cybersecurity isn’t only a shared responsibility, it’s an individual responsibility. ● If everyone does their part – implementing stronger security practices, raising awareness, and educating vulnerable audiences – our interconnected world will be safer and more secure for everyone.
