Better change is in sight with widespread availability of vaccines and the relaxation of pandemic restrictions. As mask wearing becomes voluntary and social distancing eases, your library will slowly return to a new normal. Some things will take longer to come back, like play areas and toys. Others returned sooner, like Study Rooms and newspapers. One of the biggest changes to library use in the pandemic was The roof renovation is now complete! Curbside Pickup. Curbside Pickup will be transforming late this summer into something new: Holds Lockers! A new locker system near the Curtiss Street entrance will provide the convenience of curbside Library Hours service with 24/7 availability. Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. As you probably noticed, library programs continue to be outdoors or online through the end of Summer Reading Club in August. With Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. the months of advance planning necessary for public programming, it Sunday 1 – 5 p.m. will take time for in-person programming to resume. Look for smaller programs to make a comeback first, with larger audience programs returning a little later. With the popularity of virtual programming, Library Closings some things may remain online or go to a hybrid format. Sunday, July 4 Independence Day Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate the adjustment back to our new normal. It may not look the same as it did before the pandemic, but the changes will be positive!
Find your next title with the library’s Staff Picks collection. Staff members from all departments share their favorite books, movies, music, and video games. Look for Staff Picks on their shelf on the second floor or in the stacks marked by a special “Staff Picks” sign. Programs aim to educate, support, to essential resources so they may enjoy a fulfilling and empower participants so they will improve their relationship with their pets.
