SPORT TOURISM Venues MERRITT PARK AMPHITHEATRE Located in Merritt Park, this 750 seat natural amphitheatre was cut into the east bank of the Welland Recreational Waterway to serve as permanent seating for local musical and theatrical events that take place on the water. The stone stepped amphitheatre overlooks a floating stage on the water and the beautiful scenery of the waterway. The amphitheatre is a beautiful venue for any flatwater event opening ceremonies.
