Page 4 July 2021 Volume 49 Blue Crew Giving back, that’s how the “Blue Crew” works, especially when it’s building a home with Habitat for Humanity. The future home owners received help from members of the Laboratory Services Bureau, the Communications Bureau, Records Bureau, Fiscal Management Bureau, Reserve Bureau, Officer Morgan and Officer Nosal from the Desert Horizon Precinct and even members from the community who are retired police officers! Volunteers cut and assembled framing materials, that will be used in the build process. In addition, a lot was cleaned up for future builds. Thank you to everyone that dedicated their time and effort to help the young couple get a home of their own! Hats off to everyone who helped; to say you had a hand in building a future for someone, now that is bragging rights!
Page 5 July 2021 Volume 49 Midtown Primary School Recently, the Phoenix Police Foundation donated sports equipment, backpacks, blankets, and diapers to Midtown Primary School. Thank you Phoenix Police Foundation for this generous surprise.
Page 6 July 2021 Volume 49 Drug Bust Good job to our Neighborhood Enforcement Team (NET)! The NET team, received information that there was an active dealer who had outstanding warrants. They were able to locate and observe the suspects for some time. The NET team finally had enough evidence to complete a traffic stop. After taking them into custody and acquiring a search warrant, officers located over $22,000 in cash, over a thousand fentanyl pills, about 8 ounces of methamphetamine, and a hand gun. The phenomenal work by the NET team ensured these dangerous criminals and drugs were taken off the streets and made the city a better place!
