Defence Community Organisation Director General’s Recognition Award. Congratulations to DCO Brisbane ‘s Defence Social Worker, Suzanne Byrne on receiving the Director General’s Recogni- tion Award. Suzanne Byrne is DCO Brisbane’s Senior Social Work Team Leader, and throughout her 12 year span in DCO, has acted as area manager and delivered professional and out- standing service to both Command and ADF member's and their families. DCO Brisbane’s Area Manager / Regional Manager, Sharon Scouller and Defence Social Worker, Suzanne Byrne. 3
GALLIPOLI BARRACKS COMMUNITY CENTRE (GBCC) Monday: Little Berets Playgroup — 9:30am - 11:30am Suitable for all ages ($2 per session) Tuesday: Pilates — 10am $8 to attend with child minding available for $2 per child. Wednesday: Mini Commandos — 9:30 - 11:30 Ideal for ages 1.5 and up. Working on gross motor skills like climbing, balancing and jumping ($2 per session) Thursday: Mums, Bubs and Bumps — 9:30am - 11:30am A group for Mums and babies aged from 0-2 ($2 per session) Please email the GBCC Coordinator for further information about these groups and others at: gbcc_coordinator@outlook.com. By now, many children will have started at their new schools and are busily making connec ons, learning school rules and studying the new Tuckshop menu! Defence School Mentor Program. Many ADF families are fortunate to a end schools that have the services of a Defence School Mentor (DSM).
