Patio decking from thermo wood
Thermo wood is the ecological alternative to tropical hardwoods. Domestic woods, such as pine or ash, are sub-
jected to a process without chemical additives in which they are exposed to high temperatures and humidity in
order to change the cell structure and greatly reduce their water absorption capacity. This makes the boards less
prone to wood-damaging fungus or insect infestation, and they become similarly durable to tropical wood with a
sharply reduced swelling/shrinkage behaviour.
Our thermo-wood boards have a long service life, and their smooth planed or brushed surfaces make them the
visual highlight of every deck.

Patio decking TERRACON® WPC 140 and 130
The wavy design of the TERRACON® WPC 140 with its colour embedding is unique and gives your deck a luxurious
and exclusive look. The surface is embossed and not milled, which makes it much less prone to dirt or grease.
The TERRACON® WPC 140 and the TERRACON® WPC 130 patio decking consist of 70% of wood fibres and 30% environ-
mentally friendly and food safe polymer. The wood fibres used are derived from timber of sustainable forestry.
The material composition makes the decking boards very stable and easy to maintain. The special top coat makes
the TERRACON® WPC particularly resilient, durable and also easy to maintain and process.

Patio decking TERRACON® WPC 138
The wavy surface gives TERRACON® WPC 138 a noticeably natural appearance and its roughened texture makes it
particularly slip-resistant when exposed to moisture. The WPC 138 is coated with a special polymer layer (co-extrusi-
on process) that acts like an extremely resistant protective layer and protects the material from all weather condi-
tions. In addition, the polymer layer provides TERRACON® WPC138 with permanent fastness to light, which stops the
floorboards from bleaching and thus prevents colour differences from occurring on semi-roofed patio surfaces.

TERRACON® Thermo WPC 137 Patio Decking
The TERRACON® Thermo WPC 137 patio decking is produced in a very special process. White oak wood shavings
are heat treated at 230°C. Once the thermal treatment is complete, the wood chips are mixed with Polyethylene
(plastic) and homogenised. Then the mixture is pressed through an extruder and the wood grain pattern is
pressed with a roller – it then needs to cool off naturally and slowly. This elaborate process gives the polyethylene
its durability and makes the surface more resistant and much harder to damage.

Durable and resistant protection against pressure or
impact loads on high-quality seals such as roofing film or
balcony waterproofing. The 3-layer composite film sys-
tem is used as an integrated separation barrier for PVC
seals to prevent incompatibility (plasticiser migration)
