DAY OF FINLAND Finland is the happiest country in the world, the land of pristine lakes, exquisite eco-food, balanced lifestyle and high level of comfort. Scandinavian design, the Finnish language and fairy Moomins are also to be kept in mind. Visit Finland gathers everything that we love about Suomi under the roofs of two big family festivals in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

THEMES OF THE FESTIVAL 2020 This year we want to make the concept of FINNISH HAPPINESS and everything related to it the key theme of the festival. We want to set up the following theme areas at the event: CHILDREN – activities, performances and areas for kids. EDUCATION – lectures and presentations of Finnish schools and universities. ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY – environmental programmes, waste sorting and recycling, modern concepts and carbon footprint. MUSIC – gigs and the soundtrack of the festival. FOOD – Finnish cuisine at the food court, including Lohikeitto and cinnamon rolls. And, of course, TOURISM – a presentation of the sights and features of the regions.
DAY OF FINLAND 2020 Like all Finns, we take care of the environment, ecology and waste minimization. Therefore, this year we plan to reduce the amount of waste and intentionally refuse some things. We offer you! The festival is taking the following actions: o No printed promo materials, no flyers or posters, only online promotion. o No paper maps of the festival (they will be emailed to the visitors and participants and posted on social networks). o Recycling bins will be installed at the festival and the recycling centre will be widely announced. o Recycled art master classes for children, lectures, activities with the audience.
PARTNERS WE ARE HAPPY TO INVITE YOU TO TAKE PART IN THE FESTIVAL IN 2020. We will be grateful if the format of your participation is relevant to the key theme of the festival – FINNISH HAPPINESS or the major areas of focus: Children (we welcome activities, playgrounds, areas and master classes). Education. Lectures and pop-up lecture halls, presentations of educational programmes, etc. Art and design – exhibiting and/or producing art objects live. Environment and sustainability.
