About the
webinar series
CASEM is excited to launch the online sport-focussed, sport medicine CPD event to be held via Zoom webinars.

Chaired by Dr. Wade Elliot, Chief Medical Officer for Cycling Canada and his Faculty, this 4 session webinar
series will cover all aspects of cycling injuries, diagnosis, injury prevention and management across road,
mountain and track cycling in both abled bodied and adaptive cycling.

This conference will be held Thursday evenings at 8pm EST / 5pm PST on the 10th, 17th, 24th of September
and the 1st of October 2020 via Zoom Webinars coinciding with this year’s Tour de France being held from
August 29th to September 20th 2020.

Course Objectives

Our overall objective is to blend cycling specific CPD for the sport medicine physician in an environment that will
provide education, interacting with colleagues, and physical activity.

Who would benefit from attending this online course?

The CASEM CPD curriculum is targeted to physicians in sport medicine, yet includes information pertinent to other
specialties – we also welcome attendance from our allied health partners as we look at a multi-disciplinary approach
to the care of the cyclist.

Accreditation

This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario
Chapter for up to 6 Mainpro+ credits.

VIRTUAL T1D BICYCLE TOUR
Originally this CME event was scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Tour de T1D in Horseshoe Valley this
September.

However, not to be thwarted, we have planned the same virtual cycle ride - this year, the ride will kick off from The
Heights Ski and Country Club in Horseshoe Valley, Ontario and will lace through the familiar cycling-friendly roads of
Oro Township. Whilst the Cycling CME Webinar series is free for all CASEM members, the virtual cycle race will have a
minimum entry fee of $20. CASEM will direct all funds raised to Barrie›s Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Youth
Diabetic Clinic. This clinic is a fantastic and energetic organization where dedicated professionals are committed to
improving the lives of every youth with Diabetes.

Registration is easy, simply click on the link below and ride the 100km journey with us – the 100km can be done in one
shot or cumulatively over the course of the month-long cycling CME series
