For Singapore Residents and Long-term Pass Holders To manage travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, travellers entering Singapore will be subject to health-related protocols that are calibrated based on the traveller’s vaccination status and travel history. SINGAPORE Singapore Citizens (SC) and Permanent Residents (PRs) can enter Singapore from any BORDER CONTROL overseas country/region without an Entry Approval. However, SC/PRs should read the requirements of the relevant SafeTravel Lanes below, as they will be subject to administrative and health measures corresponding with their travel history and MEASURES SafeTravel Lane used. 1.Returning Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident Lane – Prevailing health measures apply including Stay Home Notice, depending on travel history. Travellers who do not fulfil Vaccinated Travel Lane requirements will be subject to these prevailing measures by default. Non-SC/PR spouse or family members of an SC/PR should refer to the sections for Long Term Pass Holders or Short-Term Visitors. To tackle the COVID-19 situation, many countries have imposed entry restrictions and border closures. Please refer to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Travel Centre website when planning your travel routes. •Check the MFA website for the latest travel advisories to other countries/regions •Check with the immigration authority or embassy of the destination country/region on the relevant health requirements imposed on travellers from Singapore, such as Pre- Departure Tests to be taken.
Singapore Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 964K Deaths 1,159 4.93M (86.8%) of population has been fully vaccinated as of 7 Mar 22.
Malaysia Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 3.87M Deaths 33,994 25.8M (79.6%) of population fully vaccinated to date. Malaysia will reopen its borders to international visitors from April 1, allowing travellers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to enter the country without quarantine. Passengers who have been infected with COVID-19 and have been fully vaccinated are not required to undergo a compulsory quarantine upon arrival in Malaysia. Meanwhile, those who have been partially vaccinated or unvaccinated will be subject to the mandatory quarantine of seven (7) days at the quarantine station. For specific information or details concerning the entry requirements to Malaysia, travellers should check with the relevant authorities of Malaysia. Travellers are also strongly advised to read the "Departing from Singapore" page for the latest travel advisories including how to obtain pre-departure tests in Singapore and digital test and vaccination certificates for overseas use.
Indonesia Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 5.91 M Deaths 153K 152M (55.5%) of population fully vaccinated to date. Indonesia has allowed all foreign travelers with valid visas to enter the country. However, they will need to show proof of vaccination and undergo quarantine. If the traveler has only received only one dose of vaccination, then they must quarantine for 7 x 24hrs. However, if the traveler has been double or triple vaccinated, the quarantine period is 1 x 24hrs. Foreigner travelers must have health insurance (coverage of at least US$25,000) and can cover the needs for COVID-19 treatment.
Philippines Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 3.67M Deaths 57,625 64.7M (59%) people have been fully vaccinated to date. • Travelers are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken a maximum of 48 hours before departure from the origin country to the Philippines. • Travelers are required to complete the One Health Pass form a maximum of 3 days before their arrival in the Philippines. • Vaccinated travelers aged 12 years and older must have received all vaccine doses required at least 2 weeks before travel. Travelers must have a vaccination certificate that can be verified by Philippine authorities as valid or authentic. • Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in the Philippines but they must self- monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for 7 days, with the day of arrival being the first day.
Timor Leste Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 22,789 Deaths 129 573K (43.5%) of population have been fully vaccinated to date. International travel to Timor- Leste is permitted for vaccinated travelers. There are exemptions for nonvaccinated citizens and residents. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed. Travelers must present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine. Those without proof of vaccination and testing will be subject to quarantine for 14 days. Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 72 hours, must be provided on departure. Although restrictions are gradually lifting, they may be re- introduced at any time and preventative health measures remain encouraged.
Thailand Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 3.25M Deaths 23,918 49.9M (71.5%) of population have been fully vaccinated to date. Fully vaccinated Singaporean citizens are eligible to enter and stay through quarantine-free Sandbox programs. Travelers from Singapore who prefer to have a quarantine-free stay upon arrival in Thailand are to book SHA+ hotel and stay there for at least 7 days. Those Singaporean citizens who arrive in Bangkok or Pattaya are required to undergo a mandatory state quarantine or the Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ). They are required to stay for the required number of days depending on their vaccination status: COVID-19 insurance is essential for the protection of passengers in the event of an emergency situation relating to Covid-19 occurring within Thailand. If a traveler is infected with the virus It will cover all of a traveler’s medical expenses, including medicines, treatments, and professional care, as well as transportation.
Vietnam Covid situation update as of 15 March 2022 Confirmed cases 6.55M Death 41,545 77.6M (79.7%) of population have been fully vaccinated to date. • The Vietnam government has reinstated its pre-COVID-19 visa policies. Under these visa policies, Singaporeans can enter Vietnam without visa for up to 30 days. • Travellers to Vietnam must comply with all local health and immigration regulations, which include: (i) present a negative RT- PCR/RT-LAMP COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours or professionally-administered ART within 24 hours prior to departure for Vietnam; (ii) submit an online health declaration at https://tokhaiyte.vn/ prior to arrival, (iii) download and use Vietnam's COVID-19 mobile application (PC-COVID) while in Vietnam; (iv) monitor health for 10 days after entry and report to local health authorities if COVID-19 symptoms arise.
Nepal Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 978K Deaths 11,950 18.5M (63.7%) of the population have been fully vaccinated to date. • In view of the ongoing COVID-19 situation, all travellers entering Nepal are required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or produce a negative COVID-19 RT- PCR test completed no more than 72 hours prior to departure. • Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Nepal. • Non-vaccinated or partially vaccinated passengers are also required to show a pre-approved visa and proof of a hotel booking that allows at least ten days of quarantine in Nepal. • Travellers are required to purchase travel insurance that covers health, immediate crisis, or rescue for the duration of travel, and complete an online International Travel Arrival form.
Myanmar Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 607K Deaths 19,414 21.4M (39.4%) of population have been fully vaccinated to date. • In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, Myanmar has suspended all visa- free privileges and issuance of visas. • International commercial passenger flights to and from Myanmar remain banned. Only relief flights, all-cargo flights, medical evacuation flights and special flights approved by the Myanmar Department of Civil Aviation are exempted. • Myanmar is not open to tourists. Myanmar's entry restrictions mean that foreign travelers cannot enter at this time. Tourism is not permitted. Foreigners with compelling reasons to travel must get entry permission from the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cambodia Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 134K Deaths 3,048 13.9M (83%) of population have been fully vaccinated to date. • Travellers to Cambodia do not have to take pre-departure and on-arrival tests for COVID-19. To be exempted from quarantine, fully vaccinated travellers are required to show proof of vaccination on arrival in Cambodia, including dates and types of vaccinations taken • All travellers are strongly encouraged to purchase COVID- 19 medical insurance prior to arrival, and self-test regularly before travelling and while in Cambodia.
SOUTH ASIA COVID SITUATION UPDATE AND TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS as of 15 March 2022
India Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 43M Deaths 516K 815M (59.1%) of population fully vaccinated to date. • Travellers from Singapore will be able to fly into India without having to serve quarantine. • Fully vaccinated travelers from a country with approved vaccination certificates must provide a vaccination certificate issued in one of these countries to be exempt from presenting proof of a negative pre- departure COVID-19 test result. • Fully vaccinated travelers are required to complete an Air Suvidha self-declaration form online a maximum of 72 hours before departure to India. Travelers must upload their COVID-19 vaccination certificate during the process. • Given that travel guidelines can change regularly, and there may be additional state-level requirements imposed, travellers to India are advised to check the entry requirements imposed by the Indian authorities at the official website of the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at https://www.mohfw.gov.in.
Sri Lanka Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 657K Deaths 16,415 14.3M (65.5%) of population fully vaccinated to date. • All visitors to Sri Lanka are to apply for a visa online through eta.gov.lk prior to departure. • Fully vaccinated travellers are not subject to on-arrival PCR tests or quarantine. • Non-vaccinated travellers are required to pre-pay for mandatory on-arrival PCR testsat visitsrilanka.gov.lk and are permitted to stay at approved hotels and are permitted to visit approved tourist sites. • Non-vaccinated travellers are limited to a stay not exceeding 13 nights, or 14 days. EAST ASIA COVID SITUATION UPDATE AND TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS as of 15 March 2022
Mongolia Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 916K Deaths 2,177 2.17M (66.3%) of population fully vaccinated to date. • International travel to Mongolia is permitted for fully vaccinated Singaporeans. • Travelers are not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result to enter Mongolia. • Travelers are not required to quarantine upon arrival in Mongolia. • No visa is required when traveling to Mongolia on a passport issued by Singapore
Japan Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 5.86M Deaths 26,462 100M (79.8%) of population fully vaccinated to date. • Japan is considering raising the daily cap on overseas arrivals to 10,000 from the current 7,000 starting in April. • Foreign tourists are still not allowed entry • The ban will be relaxed only for work and study - not for leisure. • It is undecided when regular tourists will again be able to enter the country.
Mainland China Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 121K Deaths 4,636 (as at 1 Feb 21) 1.23B (87.4%)of the population have been fully vaccinated to date. • Singaporeans and residents of Singapore may travel to Mainland China, although travellers are still advised to check the entry requirements imposed by China and take the necessary precautionary measures. • As China moves into its third year of the pandemic, it is firmly sticking to its zero-Covid- 19 policy, ordering lockdowns and mass testing in a bid to completely eliminate the virus. • Travellers from Singapore to China are required to apply for a green health declaration code with the “HDC” mark from the PRC Embassy. They are also required to upload the vaccination records generated from Health Hub as well as their nucleic acid and N protein antibody test or IgM antibody test results • Singaporeans who travel to China outside of Fast Lane arrangements, or those currently in China and considering travel to other provinces/municipalities within China, may be subject to home or hotel quarantine for 14 days or more, depending on the province/municipality that they are travelling to.
Taiwan Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 21,402 Deaths 853 18.1M (76.9%) of population have been fully vaccinated to date. • Taiwan's Centres for Disease Control announced a temporary ban on all foreign nationals entering, or transiting in Taiwan with the exception of residents. • Short-term travellers who are allowed to enter Taiwan are required to serve a 14-day quarantine in a hotel. All passengers travelling to Taiwan are required to present a certificate of negative COVID- 19 RT-PCR test prior to boarding. • There will be an additional 7 days of self-health management after the 14-day quarantine.
Hong Kong Covid situation update as of 15 Mar 2022 Confirmed cases 648K Deaths 4568 5.41M (72.3%) of total population have been fully vaccinated to date. • Most international travelers are not allowed to enter Hong Kong. • The Hong Kong SAR Government announced that from 5 February 2022, the compulsory quarantine period for inbound travellers from overseas places will be adjusted to 14 days in designated quarantine hotels (DQHs), followed by a seven days of self-monitoring. All overseas places, including Singapore, will be specified as Group A specified places. • Non-Hong Kong residents travelling from Singapore, and who have not been fully vaccinated, are not allowed to board flights for Hong Kong.
• Singapore is committed to reopening its economy and borders to the rest of the world. The continued opening of the vaccinated travel lanes (VTLs) for quarantine- free travel with more than 20 countries in spite of the global surge in Covid-19 cases reflects this commitment. The country will also extend VTLs to more countries when the situation permits.
