Academic year 2018-19 COURSE TEACHING GUIDE: PEDIATRIC COMPREHENSIVE DENTISTRY PRACTICUM Prerequisites: It is advisable to have passed the subjects of Orthodontics I and II, and Odontopediatrics I and II to study this subject, otherwise it may only be an assistant in university clinical practice, since it is not considered qualified to perform the dental treatment of a patient childish. Academic year 2018-19 Minimum requirements: To pass the course the student must meet the following minimum requirements: 1. Correctly Perform a first visit paediatric dentistry and correctly populate the chart. 2. Having all clinical material properly bagged and sterilized 3. Comply with UCV Clinic 4. Maintain a respectful treatment and patient teachers 5. Properly explain the oral hygiene measures in response to the patient caries risk 6. Conduct at least one properly fluoridation 7. Conduct at least one pit and fissure sealing correctly 8. Carry at least a simple sealing correctly 9. Carry at least a complex sealing correctly 10. Carry at least a simple extraction correctly 11. Submit a minimum of 5 clinical cases correctly filled in the practice book with the corresponding approval by the teacher of the treatment plan. 12. Deliver work in the time and manner agreed 13. Obtain the approved laboratory work 14. Comply with attendance at clinic with a maximum of 2 excused absences 15. Having a grade equal to or greater than 5 on the theory test. 16. Having a grade equal to or greater than 5 on the test. 17. Having a grade equal to or greater than 5 in clinical practice. 18. Having a grade equal to or greater than 5 on the practice report. 19. Pass training course at the beginning of the course. Evaluation Criteria: In the test type test, you will have correction factor, each incorrect answer will subtract 0.33 points from the total test score. Criteria for granting honors: Honor license plates may be granted to the best students, who must have obtained a minimum grade of 9. Development of the subject in second and subsequent registrations: There will be a specific group for students who are not of first registration if you exceed the occupancy limit of the classroom and a teacher in charge of that group. The teacher in charge of this group held 6 sessions of monitoring and mentoring of 2 hours each. The powers to acquire the skills and abilities of the course will take place across all practices scheduled for the course. Each session will run the course so as to strengthen the job skills that every student needs to pass the course. The evaluation of content and skills in the examination will be held fixed in the official calendar for this subject. In the case of clinical practice suspended students can´t be considered proof of the theoretical or the practical test.
