SewTreats offers the following types of WWTP: 1. PLASTIC HDPE TANK BWWTP (Video Link) • The complete system is a modular system made of HDPE Plastic tanks; effluent is pumped from a screen to the WWTP. • This is the most cost effective WWTP available 1 2. CIVIL CONSTRUCTED BWWTP 2 • This is a civil engineered and constructed system. • 20 life of plant due to civil construction 3. STEEL TANK BWWTP (Video Link) • The system is built using above ground steel tanks. • Very cost effective for flows of 30kl TO 20ML 4. CONTAINERIZED BWWTP (Video Link) 3 • The complete BWWTP is constructed in containers • This system is best suited for export installations 5. FIBERGLASS UNDERGROUND BWWTP (Video Link) 4 • The complete system is a modular system made of fiberglass tanks. 5 • The complete installation is underground
Phase 1 – intake works, using of screens and in some cases FOG removal, all inorganic and undesirable matter is removed, this can be coupled to buffer tanks if fluctuation in flow is expected Phase 2 – The anaerobic treatment processes, take place in the absence of air by micro-organisms (also called anaerobes) which do not require air (molecular/free oxygen) to assimilate organic impurities. The final products of organic assimilation in anaerobic treatment are methane and carbon dioxide gas and biomass. Phase 1 ensures a COD reduction of 75% Phase 3 – Aerobic treatment processes, as the title suggests, means in the presence of air (oxygen); aerobic treatment processes take place in the presence of air and utilise those microorganisms (also called aerobes), which use molecular/free oxygen to assimilate organic impurities i.e. convert them in to carbon dioxide, water and biomass. Phase 3 ensures reduction of Ammonia through nitrification Phase 4 – Clarification and anoxic treatment – biomass that accumulates is recycled to the anaerobic zone where sludge reduction occurs, this is called re-activated sludge treatment. Phase 4 ensures de-nitrification Phase 5 – Disinfection – final water is disinfected using ozone or chlorine from where the water is discharged as treated water. Return Sludge– The returning of the sludge (Activated Sludge) which contains highly activated bacteria, sludge accumulation in the anaerobic zone is digested and eliminates the need for sludge extraction.
SewTreat offers a range of treatment solution suitable for a wide range of applications to either treat water to any process requirement or potable standards fit for human consumption. • Mining industry • Industrial effluent processing plants • Sea water desalination systems • Treatment systems for housing developments • Tanneries • Abattoirs • Food Industry The process can include: • Screening Systems (automated and hand operated) • Pre Filtration • Nano Filtration • Reverse Osmosis • Desalination • Disinfection & Sterilization • Dissolved Air Floatation • Clarifiers We offer highly effective solutions to solve customers needs and requirements at the most cost effective rate and back this up with an experienced service team.
Onsite re-use of water is a process whereby all the effluent (Sewage, Grey Water and process water) is treated through a biological process followed by a mechanical membrane filtration process from where it is re-used in the facility. The water can be cleaned to potable (Drinking water). Up to 80% of water can be re-used at a fraction of the cost compared to council provided tariffs. Saving of 50% and more is achieved with the implementation of an onsite Re- Use system
THE 4 PILLARS OF ONSITE WATER TREATMENT & RE-USE SAVING MONEY - The current water and sanitation rates offered by the municipality is very high, with an increase of over 13% year on year in some areas. SewTreat offer better treatment rates than the Municipality offers, thus the client saves money from day one, which is direct effect on net profit. The ROI is between 1 – 3 Years and the monthly savings up to 60%. QUALITY SECURITY - The process is designed and operated to comply with pre-set quality parameters and SewTreat is measured against them. If the water quality is not as per design, then the client simply don’t pay for the water. SEWTREAT provides professional technical operators such as chemical engineers to operate our plants, guaranteeing the final water quality. WATER SECURITY - The treatment of water onsite ensures water availability; this is at the core of the SewTreat product offering. The reliance on Municipal, borehole or storage dams are reduced significantly, in certain cases reliance on any outside source can be eliminated completely. The cost of not having access to water in many cases is devastating and unaccountable. We provide security in water availability. PEACE OF MIND - SEWTREAT will maintain the plant and ensure plant efficiencies will be monitored on a continuous basis. All maintenance, consumables, operators and quality management is done by qualified onsite technicians. The integrated control systems and the qualified operators ensure that no responsibility is placed on the client.
SEWTREAT can process water from nearly any source, including rivers, boreholes/wells, lakes, oceans, effluent, wastewater and industrial processes. We treat water from these sources to produce water for drinking purposes, boiler feed, semi-conductor manufacture, food process, drinking purposes, industrial processes and other applications. All potable plants comply to SANS 241 • Informal Settlements – Incorporating the bucket toilet systems to a centralized modular and movable treatment system for treatment onsite. Fast deployment and cost-effective treatment systems that reduces the monthly costs and generates a payback for the client. But most importantly creates good standard of living. • RDP Developments – collection of all black & grey water onsite and treated with biological WWTP onsite, and final water treated further with RO to SANS241, that the water can be used onsite • Hotels & Lodges– collection of all black and grey water which is then biologically treated followed by mechanical filtration for re-use in cooling towers, irrigation and pools. Sewage to Potable is very viable and offer huge savings for the hotel. • Housing Developments – treat black and grey water to irrigation standard or to drinking standard more cost effective than what the municipality can offer, saving money to the body corporate. • Mines – Treat all sewage and process effluent to process or potable water. Depending on the mine, process plant effluent can be treated and recycled for re-use. • Schools & Clinics - treat black and grey water to re-use for toilet flushing and irrigation, effluent can also be cleaned to drinking water standard. • Industries – depending on the industry the effluent can be treated for re-use to either industrial process water or potable water, this offers a cost-effective solution and ROI is normally within 2-3 years. • Malls – Malls wastewater effluent can be collected and re-used for potable of washing purposes, offering monthly savings to the owners.
