The base engine on the Cherokee is a 2.4L 180-horsepower engine, capable
of towing up to 2,000 pounds. That means your next outdoor adventure can
be a real blast, if you want to bring a motorcycle along for the ride.
The 3.2L V6 Pentastar® engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission
can tow up to 4,500 pounds, enough to bring a small watercraft along for a
weekend trip to the water.
When considering horsepower and torque, the most powerful engine on the
Cherokee is an all-new 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder. Mated to a 9-speed automatic
transmission, enjoy confident performance with every shift. This provides a
certain level of luxury unique for a vehicle in this class, performing like a V6,
yet sipping fuel in an efficient manner. This engine provides 270 horsepower
and 23 city/31 highway MPG1, efficient power mixed with strong fuel economy
for an engine of this nature.
And it’s easy to take on the toughest terrain, thanks to the Jeep Selec-Terrain®
Traction Management System. This gives you the option to handle just
about anything thrown at you. Five modes are available: Auto, Sport, Snow,
Sand/Mud, and available Rock, to provide the ultimate in driving stability

Interior
Once inside the cabin and behind
the wheel, you can truly experience
everything the Cherokee has to offer.
The available heated leather-wrapped
steering wheel is a good place to
start—a perfect way to warm up when
your hands are a bit cold. Meanwhile,
the chrome metal accents add to the
interior appeal by showing off the
steering wheel and shift knob.
Premium cloth seats come standard, but it’s easy to upgrade to Nappa perforated
leather-trimmed seating for a softer, more cushioned ride.
The 60/40 split-folding rear seats provide plenty of flexibility. It’s easy for rear

the right amount of legroom. One or both rear seats can be flipped down to

The available 7-inch multi-view display cluster, which can be controlled from the

Exterior
With a fresh look for 2019, the Jeep Cherokee exterior truly stands out.
The timeless design is modernized with a revised front end and tailgate. The
premium LED headlamps and fog lamps, along with daytime running lights, make

The revised rear appearance includes restyled taillamps and a more modernized

road is taking you next. The 2019 Cherokee comes equipped with the Uconnect® 4
with the 7-inch touchscreen. This includes support for Apple CarPlay™ and Android
Auto™, making it simple to link a smartphone to the vehicle. Easily access playlists
and navigation apps, while reading text messages or answering phone calls.
The standard sound system is powerful, but you can make every trip that much
more special thanks to the Alpine® Premium Sound System. This features a
506-watt amplifier with nine speakers and an 8-inch subwoofer. Achieve concert-

The available Family Connect technology can keep your car and those driving it
safe, even when you aren’t behind the wheel. This program lets you set limits when
