PROJECT SPOTLIGHT In the Wood Science PROJECT Testing Lab at Oregon CLT Seismic Testing State University (OSU) LOCATION Richardson Hall, a unique Corvallis, OR project is underway. PARTNER As a part of their ongoing research, students Oregon State University from OSU’s School of Civil and Construction Engineering considered testing five types of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) connections under earthquake stress and fire conditions, but they needed a partner to make that happen. Through an innovative relationship, apprentices from Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute (PNCI) actively participated in the study by assembling the mass timber to be tested.
