We have created the Ultimate Lockdown Toolkit - a series of free taster courses providing fantastic opportunities for the WHOLE FAMILY! Newsletter 5th Feb 2021 Careers Information Bury College Latest news National Apprenticeship Week 8th-12th February 2021 Next week we will be celebrating all things apprenticeships as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2021. We have created an engaging animated presentation which explains everything pupils will need to know about the Apprenticeship pathway, including who can choose to study an apprenticeship, what the benefits of studying an apprenticeship are and the fantastic opportunities that are available with Bury College. Newsletter 5th Feb 2021 Careers Information The Manchester College Connect2College LIVE Due to popular demand for our sessions running during our ‘Connect2College LIVE’ week commencing 8th Feb, we have had to update the Microsoft Teams links we previously provided in the timetable to allow more pupils to join our sessions (Please Note: use the updated links below in the timetable to join the sessions and ignore any previous links sent as they will not work now). All the days and times of the sessions remain the same in the timetable below but please only use these new links to join us. In the Connect2College Live sessions, pupils from Years 11 through to Year 8 will be able to find out more information about: • Intro to T Levels -Our exciting T Level offer launching this September 2021, including details of the Summer School – Years 9, 10 & 11 • School Leaver Presentation - Our new Industry Excellence Academies along with the Vocational courses we offer through our Centres of Excellence – Years 9,10 & 11 • An introduction to Apprenticeships - We offer through our partner organisation Total People – Years 9 - 13 • How to make a successful college application – Year 11 • Choosing your GCSE Options session – Years 8/9 • Future Decisions with Health and Social Care- Year 9, 10 & 11 We have developed a schedule of 30 minute ‘live’ Connect2College activities from Monday 8th Feb until Friday 12th Feb showcasing some of our most popular and engaging classroom sessions we normally deliver out in schools. The timetable below includes dates, times, target year groups and the links to join each session. How can pupils join these sessions? There is no need for schools or pupils to register for the event, all we ask pupils to do is click on the live links below on the day/time of the session and join us. Pupils are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they wish to and will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the School Liaison Team. *Please note: These ‘live’ sessions have been timetabled during the school day and to help pupils we have tried to repeat a number of these just in case pupils can’t make one of the dates/times. If any pupils can’t attend but would be interested in the information provided during the sessions then we are more than happy to send our pre- recorded session to them after the event.
