By owing positive energy, attention, keen interest and passion towards whatever you’re doing, you increase the factors that pave the most benevolent outcomes to emerge. Earl Prevette, a master salesman and the author of the book “How to Turn Your Ability into Cash” quoted: “Enthusiasm is one of your greatest assets. It is better than money, power and in uence- with enthusiasm you become the master of these. Combine enthusiasm with faith and initiative, and you can move mountains and achieve results unheard of.” If you think of each of your goals as a seed that you are planting, enthusiasm is the fertilizer that helps the seed to grow. Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. leaders are not born, but are made 3

Want to have some information about working in an Industry? INTRODUCTION TO INDIAN TEXTILE INDUSTRY - Aditya Talankar India has always been known for its clothes - clothes made of cotton. Indians or rather people living in Indian subcontinent had knowledge of binding color with clothes. Indian subcontinent was a global exporter of clothes during the middle ages. In present time textile is one of the most important sectors for Indian economy. It contributes up to 14% it off the value in manufacturing one third of the export earnings. The sector is the largest employment provider after agriculture. Textile and clothing sector contributes three percent to GDP, 14% of industrial production is done in this sector. 8% of total excise duty is on with the help of textile sector. It generates 24% of jobs in the economy over 35 million people are directly employed in textile manufacturing activities. 8
SWOT Analysis in the Industry 1. Strengths -India has huge supply of raw materials for textile industry. It is one of the largest producers of cotton. -In India cost of manpower is less and skilled workers are available at a low cost. -India has a very diverse garments industry. 2. Weaknesses -low productivity of labor force as compared to other countries. -low bargaining power in consumer ruled market. -unfavorable labor laws. 3. Opportunities -increase in per capita domestic consumption. -global share of India is just 3% while China has 15% global share. - development of new products. 4. Threats -extremely sensitive domestic market. -industry faces competition from domestic as well as international players.
An Insight to Corporate World The corporate event held in Conrad, Pune was a very helpful event for us, as students, which gave us live examples of what we are learning in college as it is always practically used in the corporate world. One important thing we learnt, that there is no particular age to learn as many experienced people also asked curious questions from each other. We also got a chance to interact with many reputed people there and learnt how to build networks. - Evita Moras

Amazon re aftermath: climatic and economic disaster - Aryadeep Mishra dont blame dry weather, amazonian wild res are human made disaster. Mining, farming, big infrastructure projects and transportation were the major reasons for deforestation of Amazon forests. By ignoring international concerns about deforestation, Jair Bolsonaro, president of Brazil promised the people to develop the region for all these activities. Amazon Rain forest,The lungs of the planet, provides about 22% of total oxygen to the world. It is home for 65% of Amazon basin. The forests Amazon basin have been used for food and resources for years by native peoples; products such as rubber, palm fruits and Brazil nuts are derived from these forests. It is estimated that 25 percent of the pharmaceutical drugs sold in the U.S. are derived from 40 Amazon plants. karma- humans destroyed the nature, and now its nature's turn to destroy the humans. Newsworthy... - Shreya Gupta •The GDP growth for the 1st quarter of the nancial year 2019-20 dropped to ve percent, which is the lowest in over six years, according to the latest study. •The government announced the merger of ten public sector banks into four banks. It announced the merger of Oriental banks of commerce and united bank with PNB bank as well as the merger of Canara Bank and Syndicate bank. •The Union Cabinet has approved setting up of 75 new medical colleges by 2021-22. The move will add 75000 more MBBS seats in the country. •The appointment committee of the cabinet headed by PM Narendra Modi appointed Ajay Kumar as new Home Secretary. •All communications were lost with Chandrayan 2 just before 2.1 kms of landing. ISRO chief has announced that they have now located the lander on the moon. Communication with the lander is expected to be restored very soon. •FM Nirmala Sitharaman gave Diwali gift to India Inc., by slashing corporate tax to 25.17% inclusive of all cess and surcharges for domestic and manufacturing companies. 13
