M Series heating mats can be installed in flexible self- Mat cut here

Selection
UNDERFLOOR HEATING
The objective is to cover as high a per-
centage of the free floor area as possi-
ble. Mats should not be installed under
fixtures such as kitchen cabinets and F-Board-6
shower trays. As a rule of thumb, select and -10
a mat covering an area approximately
10% smaller than the free floor area.
In larger rooms, it is common practice
to use two or more mats. Generally,
the mats are connected in parallel and

Mat Installation
F Series mats should be installed directly below laminate or engineered wood flooring and held in place with
aluminium tape. The mats should be installed on top of a layer of I-Board-6 insulation/underlay which should be held
in place with LHT high adhesion tape.

Cable Selection
The objective is to cover as high a percentage of the free floor area as possible. Cables should not be installed under
fixtures such as kitchen cabinets and shower trays.
In larger rooms, it is common practice to use two or more cables which are usually connected in parallel and controlled
by a single thermostat.
Typically, we suggest a watt density between 150W/m² and 175W/m² however lower densities are often used in well
insulated properties
Cable Installation
IHC cables are installed on a layer of insulation using IHC-F fixing strip. The cable should be arranged in evenly
spaced loops and covered in 80mm to 100mm of concrete screed. IHC cables can be used with a wide variety of floor
surfaces. If there is any doubt about the suitability of the

• Air inlet and output through front panel – no
requirement for air supply to the rear of the heater
• White aluminium grille is the only visible part of heater

• Output can be reduced from ‘high’ to ‘low’ by removing
link in terminal enclosure
• All models without built-in thermostat can be controlled
by a CS-7 controller and/or a suitably rated thermostat
• 6kW heaters have a built-in relay meaning that the
minimum switching capacity of a suitable thermostat is
reduced to 10A
