• To produce a document on accreditation of
  CPD events in Clinical Chemistry and
  Laboratory Medicine
• to develop the CPD crediting system for
  medical and non-medical Specialists in
  Laboratory Medicine.

   REPORT ON THE ACTIVITIES IN 2016
In 2016:   Internet Conference in August, Meeting in Warsaw in September
Four TFG subgroups have been formed
I. Criteria and mechanisms for accreditation
UEMS – EACCME: unique European body dealing with the accreditation of events
aimed for CPD in health care in Europe.
Two very important documents by EACCME:
Accreditation of live educational events
Accreditation of e-learning materials.
II. Who can be provider of CPD events?

IV. Measure for EFLM Accreditation grant (credit points)

Working group for collaboration between EFLM and UEMS/EACCME
about CME/CPD

EFLM: The potential fundamental issues
    1.   Formal recognition and allocation of credit points for educational activities including e.g. courses and
         conferences, both in vivo and e-learning events
    2.   Which organization creates and maintains the formalized system of criteria for allocating credit points?
    3.   The representation of different professions in the organization mentioned in §2
    4.   Which professionals in laboratory medicine can be allocated credit points from the system?
    5.   The allocation of funds in the system chosen
    6.   Agreement on the inclusion of the EACCME, UEMS and EFLM logotypes on certificates
    7.   Agreement on the practical administrative routines for handling applications of organizers for the
         allocation of credit points to educational activities.
Augusto Machado is appointed as editor for the first draft, which will circulate among the other
W-G members until the end of July
