Web Service The Optus GO Security Web Service is a cloud-based web security solution based on Domain Name System (DNS) and intelligent proxy technologies. As a first line of defence against threats on the internet, the Web Service will block requests to websites and servers that are known threats. Where the reputation of the website is unknown, a higher grade of security scanning is implemented. Retroactive security is present even if your environment manages to get infected by other means than the internet. The Web Service will block traffic from compromised devices to hackers’ command and control servers and help identify potentially infected machines on your network. By blocking communication, this stops any execution of ransomware and protects your data from exfiltration. The Web Service will be provided to your business on a per user basis, with all users under the same web security controls. Feature Description Anti-malware Blocks malware downloading from infected web sites based on reputation. Prevents malware that has already infected your devices from making call back connections to Command and Control Call-Back blocking execute data exfiltration. Your staff should be able to work without the concerns of spotting phishing emails or opening suspicious attachments. The Optus GO Security Email Service analyses incoming emails for malicious attacks and suspicious sources to protect your business while your staff focus on their daily tasks. The Optus GO Security Email Service is a cloud based email security solution that requires no onsite hardware. We listen to you, then develop and implement your policy. Once you make the required configuration change to your email settings, your emails start being filtered. It’s that simple. Sender Policy Framework filter Detects and blocks forged and spoofed emails through the industry standard sender policy. Threat prevention Identifies and blocks viruses, spam, phishing and ransomware based on signatures. Trace application Allows advanced search and retrieval of inbound and outbound emails for up to 32 days. Typo domain filter Analyses and blocks inbound emails that have originated from known fraudulent domains. Inspects and filters emails containing malicious or suspicious URLs based on reputation, as well as URL filtering tracks clean or unknown URLs if they become malicious. 4
