Very little is known about this variant, but it has raised concerns with respect to testing, treatment, severity and the effectiveness of the vaccines that have been used until now. o 360° Newsletter: Spreading the word on COVID-19 in a dozen tongues How do you say, “Stay safe,” in Urdu? A “COVID-mobile” is broadcasting messages in that language and many others from a loudspeaker in Côte-des-Neiges, in order to ensure that they’re understood by all. It’s part of a public-health campaign supported by CIUSSS West-Central Montreal in one of the most ethnically diverse corners of Canada. CIUSSS WEST-CENTRAL MONTREAL SERVICES ➢ We’re hiring! Our CIUSSS is currently seeking candidates for the Profession of Nursing Practice (CPNP) and Externs. A virtual recruitment event will take place over the next few weeks : Virtual Open House – Mental Health and Addiction teams, and Recruitment of vaccinators and injectors (Posters FR, EN) Information ➢ Scholarship program for training orderlies A scholarship will be available to the next group of students who are working toward a Certificate of Professional Studies in the field of Support for Assisted Care in Healthcare Facilities. Training will last three months on a full-time basis, and will be conducted in French. ➢ New – Mass vaccination : English, French o Mass vaccination centers are confirmed. They will be located in : • Décarie Square shopping center (6900 Décarie Boulevard),
• In an office building (7101 Parc Avenue), • And at the Bill-Durnan Arena (4988 Vézina Street). o Once they are open, these three sites will operate seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. o Appointments will be mandatory in order to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Members of the public will soon be able to make appointments online, through the Clic Santé platform, or by telephone. o Individuals who will have access to the vaccine will be prioritized as follows: • 80 years old and up • 70 to 79 years old • 60 to 69 years old • Adults under 60 with a risk of complications from COVID-19 • Essential workers and other healthcare workers • Other adults ➢ COVID-19 Testing Clinics o New – New platform for pre-registration and appointments for COVID-19 testing clinics A new platform has been launched by the MSSS for users to pre-register for COVID-19 walk-in testing clinics or to make an online appointment for the by-appointment-only clinics. Each clinic has its own link, as well as a QR code, which a user can scan while waiting in line at our walk-in clinics or outside the Outremont clinic. • DLM testing clinic (in the JGH parking lot). • CLSC de Parc-Extension testing clinic. • Outremont testing clinic. o To ensure that people who are at greatest risk are tested, priority will be given to those with symptoms and those who have been in direct contact with an infected person. o COVID-19 Testing Clinic on the premises of the Jewish General Hospital. No appointment necessary. Open every day. From 8:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Location : new trailers in the parking lot of the Jewish General Hospital at Légaré and Bourret Streets, across from the Pavilion K entrance. Designated parking spots will be available in the parking lot next to the trailers, accessible from Lavoie St. Parking fees apply and places are limited. Parking for the testing clinic is not permitted in the hospital’s underground parking lot. o COVID-19 Testing Clinic in Outremont. Open every day by appointment only, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Address: 544 Davaar Avenue. o COVID-19 Testing Clinic in Park-Extension. Entrance to clinic on Parc Avenue, behind the CLSC. No appointment needed. Open every day, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Reminder – Designated COVID-19 assessment clinic o For people who need a medical consultation and are experiencing flu-like, gastro-like or COVID-19-related symptoms. o By appointment only.

Parking for the assessment clinic is not permitted in the hospital’s underground parking lot. ➢ Reminder – COVID-19 testing for community workers and users o We offer testing of employees, volunteers or clients of community organizations using the attached form. The person must have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with a COVID-19 infected person. o If necessary, consult the details of the procedure. ➢ Update – Test Centers o Please note that Test Centres are not COVID-19 Testing Clinics. o Update – Closure of the Benny Farm CLSC Test Center. Please note that the Benny Farm CLSC Test Center is closed. Thank you for your understanding. o All Test Centers are by appointment only. To make an appointment, please visit CLICANTE.CA. Clic Santé will offer you an appointment, which may not be the same day.
