    CAMELOT ESTATE
    Before Camelot Estate became the incredible haven it is today, it was once a
    Jersey breeder farm. When you cast your eye over the luscious green land and
    perfectly maintained Tudor-style homes, it is almost impossible to believe that
    in 1941 it was a vast piece of farm land owned by the well-known Crook family.
    In 1980, Richard Gaylord bought the farm from the Crook family and in 1989
    commenced construction on the first village, Hathaway. Richard Gaylord,
    known for being a visionary, was heavily influenced by British royalty, King
    Arthur as well as medieval architecture, and sought to create a replica of an
    ideal ‘English village’. Almost 30 years later, Camelot Estate is the epitome of
    former English medieval living, and over the years has become synonymous
    with prestige and luxury in the Hillcrest area.
