Whether you’re looking for new textbooks for use in the classroom, books to recommend to your students, or some inspiration for teacher development, we have something for everyone. Despite the challenges of 2020, the passion for Classics teaching and learning continues. Last year we launched our brand new Key Stage 3 Latin course, de Romanis, and it’s already proving incredibly popular with many of you. Our in-person launch parties may have been postponed, but it didn’t stop us from going online to celebrate this new approach to Latin teaching along with additional online resources to help students studying from home. We’re also proud of our continued partnership with OCR. The global pandemic delayed the introduction to the new editions for the OCR Latin and Classical Greek prescribed texts. These will now be available in April 2021 for first teaching from September 2021. You can read more at ocr.org.uk. This year we’re very excited about Ashley Carter’s student reader, Selections from Virgil’s Aeneid Books 7-12 which will help students appreciate Virgil’s epic poem, along with Stephen Hunt’s new research text Communicative Approaches for Ancient Languages, which should be on every Classics teacher’s reading list! Lastly, we’d like to thank all the teachers and Classics specialists who have come along to our webinars, reviewed material, and answered our questions and, of course all of our authors that have worked with us this past year. We hope you enjoy! From the Bloomsbury Classics team Prices and publication dates are correct at time Front cover image taken of publishing and are subject to change. from de Romanis Book 2.

SeCTIOn B – dePTH STUdY (ATHenS) Structure Section B has two question types, as follows: l Source Utility Question worth 12 marks (Question 4). You will be asked to read between one and four of your prescribed sources. You will then be asked a question focusing on how useful this source or set of sources are for telling us about a certain historical event or situation. l Essay Question worth 36 marks (Question 5 or 6). This is similar in format to the essay question for the period study (but note that it is worth six more marks). You will be given a choice of two essays. You should answer only one.
