Garth Gazette News | 3 Coronavirus Helpers and Supporters Coronavirus Helpers and Supporters, Bicester, are like many of the volunteer groups popping up all over the country today to help individuals, shielding or self-isolating during the Covid-19 pandemic, with no-one to turn to or ask for help with food shopping and prescriptions. One volunteer, Adam Coggins, from Kingsend even organised a paper- round for some locals. Later, when individuals started to return to work, many volunteers were unable to help so it was decided in June to do another leaflet drop, this time with an e-receptionist landline phone number. This meant a call could be picked up by either Cat, Kat, Adam or Stephanie, the request forwarded to an online chat group and a volunteer delivery team weeks. Walking and cycling are excellent options for short journeys, but it’s clear that car journeys will always play a part in getting us from A to B. That’s where electric vehicles (EVs) come in.
