How to get started
Step 1        I f you’re the UPlan account holder: Sign up for your Virgin Pulse account by going to
               join.virginpulse.com/UMN. You will need to use your 7-digit U of M employee ID
               number, legal last name and preferred first name. Employees can sign in to register and
               access the platform using single sign-on at z.umn.edu/WellbeingPgrm. In addition, you
               can access your account through the mobile app or at member.virginpulse.com. Sign in
               with the username and password you created when you activated your account.
              I f you’re a spouse covered on the UPlan (whether you are a University employee or
               not): Sign up for your Virgin Pulse account by going to join.virginpulse.com/UMN.
               When prompted, you will to need to use the UPlan account holder’s 7-digit employee ID
               number and add “S” directly after the 7-digits (i.e., “XXXXXXXS”). Once you’re enrolled,
               access your account through the mobile app or at member.virginpulse.com
               with the username and password you created when you activated your account.

Step 2        Select your preferred language (there are 20 to choose from). On the app, choose
              App Settings from the side menu. On a desktop, select My Profile and scroll to
              Account Settings.

Step 3        Set your wellbeing interests to get personalized daily tips to help you
                eat healthy, get active, reduce stress, sleep well and more!

Step 4        For a complete list of available program opportunities, visit the
                Programs tab. For a complete list of ways to earn, visit the Rewards tab
                within the Virgin Pulse portal.

Step 5	
       Connect a fitness tracker to get credit for your steps, active minutes and
              sleep. We sync with many devices and apps. (Max Buzz, Apple Watch,
              Fitbit, etc.)

Step 6         ownload the Virgin Pulse mobile app for iOS or Android. Access your

Rewards
All the programs have points assigned to them. If you selected the “employee only” or “employee and children” UPlan
Medical Plan, you may earn 500 points. If you selected “employee and spouse (with or without children),” you and your
spouse may earn a total of 750 points; if the UPlan-covered spouse voluntarily participates, they will need to earn the full
250 points and the employee would need to earn 500 points. Communicate with your UPlan-covered spouse to be sure
you’re reaching the 750 points together. Alternatively, UPlan-covered employees may earn all 750 points on their own.

Once you’ve achieved 500 or 750 points by August 31, 2021, you will save $500 or $750 on your UPlan health rates starting
in January 2022.
