WHAT'S December Autumn ON 2020-February (March-May 2021 2021) New Fairfield Library on 1-3 Hamilton Rd Fairfield
From the Mayor Frank Carbone I invite you to discover and enjoy the wide variety of FREE Open Libraries’ workshops and programs on offer. There is something for every member of the family no matter your age. Our libraries are a critical service that bring people together to meet friends, play, study, learn or read and are very popular with residents. That is why I am especially pleased that Council will open its new $6 million state-of-the-art, 1,000 sqm library on 1-3 Hamilton Road, Fairfield in March. The new contemporary and spacious library, constructed with funding assistance from the State Library of NSW, will have more space, desks, computers, books, a large children’s area and access to all our online resources. It is everything that residents would expect of a flagship library. Meanwhile, Council is busy converting the previous Fairfield library site at Kenyon Street into a Community Business Hub, which will open later this year, to support local business start-ups. Projects such as this are an investment into what matters to our community, and will bring benefits to every resident in Fairfield City, and strengthen our City’s reputation as a great place to live, work, play and raise a family.
