Welcome We are delighted to welcome you to the much awaited return of The Rockin’ Food & Fruit Festival 2022. We can’t wait to celebrate the premium quality and diversity of the food culture and Rock ‘n’ Roll community of Enniscorthy and surrounding areas. Our programme includes a huge range of free events such as the Artisan Food & Craft Market, a Food Marquee with a superb line up of local and celebrity chefs, tastings and special guests. Our Live Outdoor Stage will be booming all weekend and we can’t wait to welcome our special guest dancers who are the heart and soul of the weekend. There are a huge variety of Free & low-cost Kids Activities to keep the little ones entertained. They can look forward to Discos, T-Shirt Printing, Shield Making, Face Painting etc… This year also sees the return of the Steam Train event as well as our always popular Fun Fair Experience for the family. Steam Train Event We are delighted to have the Steam Train No. 85 Merlin paying a visit to Enniscorthy for the Rockin’ Food & Fruit Festival on Sunday 31st July. Join us on board our steam train for a fun day from Enniscorthy, along arguably Ireland’s most scenic railway line - the sunny south-east to Rosslare Strand, Co. Wexford. Departure from Enniscorthy station is planned for 13:35 and our route will take us to Rosslare Strand passing through the tunnel underneath Enniscorthy town and then we will hug the River Slaney to Wexford town. After Wexford station, we will proceed at caution across the street and along Wexford Quay, a unique experience on a train through the centre of the town. Once clear of the town, we will push on to Rosslare Strand, where all passengers must alight at approximately 14:30. The train will continue out of service to Rosslare Europort for servicing. You will then have over an hour to explore the village and possible take a stroll on the beach before returning to Enniscorthy by steam train at 15:45 with an arrival time back in Enniscorthy for 16:45.
