Hanover Charities Welcomes Back
Rachael White Young
Rachael White Young is a Vice President, Specialist and Co-Head
of the Post-War & Contemporary Day Sale in New York. She is
responsible for the department’s highly successful Day Sales in
May and November, including a $117 million auction in
November 2019—an industry high—and a $8.5 million result for a
painting by Mark Rothko in November 2021, a record price for a
work of art in a Day Sale. Her expertise ranges from classic post-
war masters to emerging contemporary artists, with a particular
focus on mid-century female abstractionists.
In her free time, she represents Christie’s as an auctioneer for
charitable, non- profit and private organizations and has helped
to raise millions of dollars in this capacity. This is her third Sugar
Cane Ball!
Rachael joined the Post-War & Contemporary department at
Christie’s in September 2012. She earned a Master of Fine Arts,
with a focus in Fine & Decorative Arts, from the Sotheby’s
Institute of Art in London. She received a Bachelor of Arts in
Spanish and European Studies from Vanderbilt University, with a
Minor in History of Art.

Live Auction Item 2: Four Tickets to 2023 Jingle Ball

The hottest ticket in Los Angeles and New York
is the iHeart Jingle Ball Holiday Concert with the
biggest acts of the year sharing the stage each
December.
We are offering four floor seats at your choice of
the Los Angeles or New York Jingle Ball. The
tickets are virtually impossible to buy as the
shows sell out immediately.
Everyone from Taylor Swift to Arianna Grande
to Katy Perry to Harry Styles has played Jingle
Ball.
The concerts will be December 1 at Kia Forum in
Los Angeles and December 8 at Madison Square
Garden in New York City. The artist lineup for

Olympic Gold Medalist, and the last undisputed
heavyweight champion of the world, Lennox Lewis.
The winning bidder will have a one on one, hour-
Long private boxing lesson with the legend himself,
where Lennox will teach you some of the tips, tricks,
and techniques that helped him dominate the
heavyweight division during his reign as champion.
The winning bidder will also receive a League of
Champions Foundation training boxing glove set,
hand wraps and two tee shirts. The glove will be
autographed at the end of the training session.
Not only is Lennox legendary, but he is also a great
friend and supporter of Hanover Charities and all-
around nice guy.

and give a gift that will change the lives of thousands of families,
children, and elderly. Your sponsorship will include the 40-foot
shipping container, with your name or business logo prominently
displayed. Once unloaded, your container will continue to provide
‘Love’ by being installed on the property of a school, where it will be
converted into a future classroom, guidance center or library.
Last year’s Container of Love, was filled with 22
pallets of supplies:
• 3000 student backpacks with school supplies
•10 pallets of food items including thousands of
pounds of rice, flour, cornmeal, red beans, macaroni, and
tuna which were used at our Kitchen of Love and
food care packages that were delivered to needy
homebound residents

Drum by Everald Brown (1917-2002), one of Jamaica’s
most intuitive artists. (The term "intuitive"
suggests the unique inner vision that informs
the imagination without negative judgment.)
Brown’s artistic beginnings began in the culture
of West Kingston that produced Rastafarianism
and reggae. But his beliefs and practices were
far from orthodox, and combined elements ofRastafari, Revival, Kumina, and Freemasonry –
all of which are also evident in his artistic work.
Brother Brown’s early production of ritual
objects, musical instruments and paintings for
his church community provided the foundation
for his later work and the elaborate symbolic
universe expressed in it.
