Carey, have been a serial entrepreneur for the previous fifty-six years, starting seventeen national and international corporations, LLCs and partnerships in the areas of robotics, factory automation, educational services, advertising and consulting. In addition, and parallel to these for the most recent fourteen years, I am also an educator. My graduate and undergraduate students have won 96 competitions and 35 patents, and I have coached masters, an M.D. and Doctoral students. Recently, April 23, 2020, eight of my students won a total of $110,000 in prizes in the 2020 BYOBB competition. My students have received and been offered hundreds of millions of dollars for their Temple startup businesses and their own nationally syndicated television shows. I have received the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching and 4 Crystal Apples for service to the University. Most recently, May 8, 2019, I was awarded the Andrisani-Frank “Outstanding Teaching Award (plaque and $1.000) and on Dec. 3, 2019 I received my 4th Crystal Apple Award for “Outstanding Teaching”. I am an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship, Business Strategies, Global Business Policies, Engineering and Creating Successful Startups, both on the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 2018 Temple created a student achievement award, “The Dwight Carey Award for Superior Student Engagement”. I have taught (Including the Fall 2020 semester) 137 University courses and mentored hundreds of students to start their own successful businesses in many countries. They, amongst a of few their international accomplishments, have built factories to end starvation in Mali, West Africa; are bringing light to their darkened home land, Uganda, Africa who also was awarded one of the top Entrepreneurial ventures in Africa and another is providing mobile free movie theaters in India. I have won dozens of Industrial, Governmental and Academic awards and titles and have been listed as one of the top twenty-five Entrepreneurial Professors in the world. I have been a guest speaker on national radio and television shows and am interviewed regularly. After the President of South Korea announced that for South Korea to compete entrepreneurially in the twenty first century, Koreans must become entrepreneurs. South Korea’s largest Media Conglomerate, JoongAng Media, invited the CEO of Amway and me to represent American business and to come to Korea to speak at a conference on entrepreneurship. We spoke at the conference and to a television audience of millions of viewers. I have been a public speaker and international trainer/speaker for more than fifty years. Most recently, I was invited to present my academic journal paper, “Experiential Entrepreneurship, Everything Educational, the 4 Es of Success” and moderate a panel discussion on international entrepreneurship at the 41st Annual NABET Conference at Penn State Univ. on Nov. 2, 2018.(I have been invited back for October 22 & 23, 2020). Previously, I edited and published 5 college text books (4 with McGraw Hill/Irwin and 1 with Pearson Prentice Hall). Currently, I have been interviewed to become the Small Business Advocate for the Securities Exchange Commission in Washington, DC. Also, recently I have been asked to be one of the stars on a new 13 episode show TV series, “Honey Child” which was filmed in 2019-20 and aired in the Spring of 2020. Page 1 of 18
