Sunday, April 5th 9:00pm World on Fire An adrenalized, emotionally gripping and resonant World War II drama, follows the intertwining fates of ordinary people in five countries as they grapple with the effects of the war on their everyday lives. Set in Britain, Poland, France, Germany and the United States, the events of the seven-hour series take place during the first year of the war. The stellar cast includes Academy Award®- winner Helen Hunt, Sean Bean, Academy Award®-nominee Lesley Manville, Jonah Hauer-King and Blake Harrison. Be Inspired! Tuesdays, April 7th & April 14th 8:00pm The Gene: An Intimate History This special brings vividly to life the story of today’s revolution in medical science through present-day tales of patients and doctors at the forefront of the search for genetic treatments, interwoven with a compelling history of the discoveries that made this possible and the ethical challenges raised by the ability to edit DNA with precision. Valley of Hope: The Armenian Journey from Terror to Triumph April 20th at 7:00pm Live in Studio Valley PBS presents a special production about the Armenian Genocide. The stories of the victims of the genocide are told through interviews with survivors’ children and grandchildren. The success of Armenians in the Central Valley and the role faith and family plays in Armenian culture is also explored. Over 20 individuals and organizations are featured in this documentary. Reairs April 26th at 3pm.
