Dear Attendee, C o m e o n r e t r e a t Welcome To Our Celebration with NAMA Welcome to the National Ayurvedic Medical Association’s 14th annual conference. Our theme this year is focused on Ayurveda’s contribution to health concerns around the globe. We have chosen a new format this year with multiple panel presentations to bring diversity, and greater exposure to clinical approaches to some of our most common modern disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, gastrointestinal, autoimmune, hyper- tension, OB/GYN as well as Ayurvedic yoga therapy approaches to healing the emotional body. The panelists have come with years of experience in treating these conditions through Ayurveda and are excited to be sharing their findings with all of you. Join us for the 15th annual NAMA conference On our Pre-conference day, Friday, April 20th, we will be hosting a special meeting of our Ayurvedic schools. Here we will discuss the communities move toward accreditation standards and its overall impact on the es- tablishment of Ayurveda as a respected profession, as well as our yearly Professional Forum, “Things You May Not Know That You Need to Know: Legal, Ethical and Business Tips for Ayurvedic Professionals.” This year, we have invited speakers from around the world to share Ayurveda’s global impact and added a Post-conference International Fo- rum on Monday, April 23rd from 8:30-12:00 for all to attend at no extra charge. This unique forum will highlight initiatives are happening around the globe and will offer time for the participants to share and get to know one another. We hope that we will begin to build a global community dedi- cated to empowering individuals, communities, and humanity to enhance health, well-being, and self-awareness through Ayurveda. We are also thrilled to present a great array of research posters that will be on display in the main hall throughout the conference and presented by the researchers themselves on Saturday afternoon. “Creating and sup- porting more research in Ayurveda is key to securing acceptance of this 15T H A N N UA L great science. NAMA is dedicated to highlighting and promoting our com- munity’s efforts in this important arena. As usual, you will have a chance to N A M A CO N F E R E N C E participate in morning meditation or yoga classes before the main events of the day begin, you will see all classes on the full conference schedule. We have taken great care in developing our offerings this year and hope that you will learn, expand and enjoy your time together with us. Please come by our booth if you should need any support throughout the con- ference or just to say hi. We look forward to seeing old friends and making April 26-28, 2019 new acquaintances.
