Thank you, David Oraskovich Our WAF Board members continue to stay engaged to meet the mission of the Waseca Area Foundation. Our meetings have been mostly remote during 2020 as we all learned to use Zoom, Google Meet, as well as muting the noises around us—whether it be dogs, kids, spouses, etc. Please don’t hesitate to contact any board members with your needs. They are identified on page 23 of this report or on our website— wasecaareafoundation.org. I have told my Board several times, “I love my job!” and that is due to the wonderful board members I get to work with as well as all of YOU in the community who continue to amaze me with your purpose-driven donations and personal philanthropic actions! Please know I am always here to help you learn more about the Waseca Area Foundation, accept any gifts large or small, establish a fund, or help set up a long-term gift to support the Waseca area. The project was suggested by Board member, Terry Gardner, and the Foundation elected to implement a fund raising project titled “I love JAF.” Board members contacted community persons to solicit donations to JAF. Donors were honored with white, pink or red hearts posted in community sites. The goal of the campaign was $10,000 and to raise 2020 GRANT RECIPIENTS awareness for JAF. We had a tremendous response and raised $11,880. It was a great success. In fact, we have decided to continue the campaign in February 2021.
