The Viking Line fleet
Stockholm–Turku
Our Viking Grace is the world’s first large passen-
flagship ger ship that uses liquefied natural gas (LNG)
as fuel. With the help of LNG, the ship’s nitro-
gen exhausts and particles are decreased
by 85 % and greenhouse gases by 15 %. The
sulphur exhaust level will be practically zero.
Since April 2018 Viking Grace is the first large
passenger ship worldwide to be equipped
with a rotor sail for the utilisation of wind
power. This will cut fuel consumption by 300 t
and reduce emissions by up to 900 t annually.
The M/S Seagas was specially built for ship-
to-ship refueling for Viking Grace and has
already performed its 1000th refuelling in 2016.
Viking Grace Seagas is the first vessel of its kind.

Safety
Viking Line became the first shipping company
in the world to be verified by the accredited classification
society Det
Norske Veritas Germanischer
Lloyd (DNV GL) in accordance with its My Care
methodology.
This verification, which covers all seven Viking Line
vessels and operations in six terminals, affirms the
company’s capability to manage and prevent infection
risks, including Covid-19.

be able to travel safely with us.

► We currently only accept a limited number of passengers on
board. As a result, we ensure that social distances between
all passengers can be maintained.
► We limit and control passenger flows in the terminals
and during boarding and disembarking of the vessels.
► We have expanded and intensified cleaning procedures
and provide hand sanitizer to all of our passengers.
► We provide regular reminders about maintaining social
distances and about the importance of people washing
their hands often and in the correct way.
► We limit the number of guests in restaurants and shops.
It is possible to have take-away meals or order meals
to cabins.
► The selection of activities on board will be adapted to the
present situation. We have programmes for both adults and
children, but unfortunately the ball pit will not be in operation
for hygiene reasons. We offer spa treatments, but our sauna
facilities are otherwise closed.
► Check-in counters, information desks and cash stations will
be equipped with plexiglass screens.
► We recommend payment by card, to reduce the handling
of cash.
