In Memoriam: Buzz Marston As most know, we lost a significant part of the Corvette community with the passing of Buzz Marston on September 22nd. He lost his battle with Cancer. I got to know Buzz after joining NCCA and participating in various Corvette car shows and other events that involved the WSCC. He was a WSCC board member and, for the past several years, President. Buzz was also a member of Santa Clara Corvettes and a board member of the National Corvette Museum from 2004-2019, serving as President in 2010 and 2011. In addition to the above, he was connected with the Bowling Green factory and the Corvette Racing Team. He organized the Corvette Racing Banquet each year, during the IMSA races at Laguna Seca. These were always worth attending, as you could get to meet the management from the factory, the museum, and the engineers who design and build our Corvettes, as well as the drivers at the banquet and the Corvette Corral at the track. Before moving from the Bay Area to Arizona, he and I would meet for lunch near his Los Gatos office. At other times, we would take our handguns to a private range where he was a member, to punch some holes in paper. He would always do whatever he could to assist the Corvette clubs and individual members. A few years ago, he offered to turn our Corvettes at the Castle event into a WSCC-sanctioned event, giving us greater visibility for it. If anyone were visiting the museum, Buzz would put in a word, and they would make the visit personal. Rest in peace Buzz. You will be missed. George Robinson 28 KALEIDOSCOPE
