What Happens Next? • The waterway manager will assess your application and may forward it (and the required Notification/ declaration/ notice) to the Safety Director, Maritime Safety Victoria. • You may be required to provide further information to support your application. • The waterway manager will notify you of the decision. • If granted, the exemption declaration will be published in a newspaper circulating generally throughout Victoria (exemptions from state wide advertising may be given if it can be shown that the requirement has been substantially complied with and been adequately achieved through alternative means or is impracticable or inappropriate) and on the waterway manager’s website.
