June, 2020 Year 2020, Issue 8 Accent on Assisting President’s Message I would also like to thank Karly Edwards for her help and guidance during her term as President. Karly, I look forward to working with you in your new role as Past President! I am extremely happy to be able to introduce Jenn Prpich as President Elect and to give a warm wel- come to our newest council member, Shannon Elaschuk. I am eagerly anticipating getting to know you both better and working with you in the near future. As you may know, Council meets periodically throughout the year. This past February, we met in Saskatoon and the dominant topic was the retire- ment of our esteemed Executive Director, Susan Anholt. A committee has been formed and we are now in the process of searching for our new ED! Other topics of discussion during that meeting in- cluded SAIT/USASK accreditation, a wider variety of professional development opportunities and a focus on mental health.
