Other facilities include: toilets, hard standing parking, a tack stall and a café / grill.

Competitor Information If you wish to compete at stars, you must adhere to their ruling which states that it must be the same combination of horse/rider/handler/leader throughout the whole season Points Awarded: 1st- 8 2nd- 7 3rd- 6 4th- 5 5th- 4 + 2 attendance point for each class completed (if unplaced) + 3 attendance points for double clear in jumping rounds Please note: Members will be given a laminated back number on receipt of membership card, this will be your number for the whole of the 2020 season. Replacements will be charged at £2.00 so please take care of them. Thank you for your co-operation. Presentation Dance (28th November 2020) Monaco Ballroom, Hindley, Wigan Points are accumulated throughout the season for a chance to win an award at the presentation dance. Class winners will receive a trophy, a perpetual trophy and a rosette. 2nd, 3rd and 4th places will receive a trophy and rosette. Overall winners will receive a sash and a trophy for the top placings. There will also be a supreme championship for the ones who have gained the most points throughout all classes with a sash for the top six places and a trophy for the supreme champion. Other presentation dance awards include: • Trophies - 1st to 4th in all eligible classes • Little Nipper trophy to the hardest trier • Junior & Senior show-jumping champion • Junior best overall ridden champion and reserve • Senior best overall ridden champion and reserve • Overall in hand championship with sashes to fourth place • Supreme champion sashes to sixth place All of the above will be announced at the 2020 presentation evening. Please note: Perpetual trophies must be returned by the 10th October, 2020. Failure to so so will result in forfeiture of all 2020 points. Thank you for your co-operation. The name of the horse or pony must be kept the same for the entire season. If the name of the animal changes, a new set of points will be started. In order to qualify for the chance to win a trophy at the end of the season, a competitor must have competed in the appropriate class on at least 4 occasions. Trophies will only be presented to the winner at the presentation dance and not to nominees.
Competitor Information Membership fees start at £22.00 until March 15th then are raised to £25.00 for the rest of the season. Ring 1 Equitation 9.30am Start Equitation classes will be judged on riding ability alone and competitors will not be required to jump with the exception of Riding Club Horse/Pony. Please note - Snaffle Bridles only in Equitation classes (1, 2 & 3) Class 1 Lead rein Equitation Rider 9yrs and under on 1st Jan 2020. Class 2 Nursery Equitation 8yrs to 11yrs on 1st Jan 2020. Class 3 Junior Equitation 12yrs to 17yrs on 1st Jan 2020. Class 4 Novice Horse/Pony or Rider Class to be judged on the ability of Horse/Pony/Rider for the age/level they are at. An ideal introduction to the show ring. Class 5 New Combination Open to new combination Horse/Pony & Rider (First full season). Class 6 Junior and Senior Horsemanship Open. Placed separately. Competitors will be required to perform their own 2 minute show to showcase their abilities E.g. turn on forehand, canter serpentine, rein back Etc. No Go-round. Class 7 Riding Club Horse To include a small jump. Any suitable bridle. Class 8 Riding Club Pony To include a small jump. Any suitable bridle. RC Horse/Pony to be judged on suitability for all Riding club activities.

Ring 3 Childrens Ring 1.00pm Start 10 Years and Under (on 1st Jan 2020) Ponies must be 13.2hh or under Class 28 Tiny Tots Lead Rein Equitation Pony not to exceed 122cm. Rider 6years and under on 1st Jan 2020. Class 29 Style & Appearance To be judged 50% appearance & 50% best show. LR permitted. Class 30 First Year Competitors For those showing their pony in their first season. Canter not required. LR permitted. Class 31 First Year First Ridden 10 years and under on 1st Jan 2020. Class 32 Best Figure of 8 in Trot 10 years and under (ridden). LR not permitted. Class 33 In Hand Show Pony or M&M 10 years and under. Class 34 Tiny Tot Handler 8 years and under. Class 35 Thelwell / Bonny Pony In Hand or Ridden Rider/handler 10yrs & under. LR permitted. Class 36 Nicest Trot 10 years and under (ridden). LR permitted. Class 37 Riding Club Pony Lead rein and first ridden (tiny cross pole). Parents are allowed in the ring in all of the classes above. The 10’s & under ring accumulate points for their own Championship at the end of the 2020 Season (To be announced at the Presentation Dance). This year we are running a members loyalty scheme for the children’s ring / ring 3. Please ask for a loyalty card. You will receive a stamp for every class you enter. When your card is full, we will redeem it for a free class.

(Lead Rein permitted) • Open Intro is open to anyone. • Both Prelim tests are open classes. • Plain Snaffle bridles only in all tests (See the British Dressage website for more details regarding permitted bits). We are also participating in the ROR Retraining of Racehorses Points League. Team Dressage rules: Teams of 3 or 4. Each team must complete the intro (morning) or prelim (afternoon) championship. The best 3 scores from each team will be totalled to find the winning team. Winning teams will each receive a trophy and sash. Placings to 5th. Junior riders must be under 17yrs on 1st Jan 2020. Well behaved stallions will be permitted with a competent rider. Beginner’s tests are open to beginner Riders to dressage who have never won an open prelim test or competed at novice level. Once you have won the beginners test 3 times you may not enter it again excepting Lead Rein. Special awards will be presented at the end of the season for most improved Junior/Senior. Please add 50p for cheques, made payable to AHRC. Entries may be made by phone, post or abramhallrc.co.uk up to four days prior to the competition. Rules and Regulations Riding Club Policies - By competing, booking or contacting us, you are agreeing to our policies: The following is necessary for safety, insurance purposes and in order to maintain a sustainable business. Whilst every care is taken, we will take no responsibility or liability for any accident or injury caused to customers/visitors/horses/ponies. We also take no responsibility or liability for damage/loss/theft of property. We would ask all competitors/spectators to conduct themselves in a way not to cause any incidents. By their very nature horses can be easily startled, we would ask you to bear this in mind. No children under the age of 4 are insured to ride on the premises so their parents must sign a disclaimer. The Organizers will not hold themselves responsible for any accidents, loss or damage to competitors, spectators, animals, vehicles or property for any reason whatsoever. Any competitor wishing to make a complaint must do so in writing on the day accompanied by a £50.00 administration fee. The complaint will then be brought before the organizers before the next show. If the complaint is accepted the £50.00 will be refunded and the issue resolved. In the event of a clash, it is the competitors’ responsibility to decide the class in which to compete. Entry fees will not be refunded under any circumstance. Competitors must be correctly dressed and riding hats rated PAS015 or higher must be worn at all times when mounted. Junior competitors should also wear riding hats for inland classes. In show jumping classes, show jackets must be worn in the ring unless it is exceptionally hot/cold. Jackets must be fastened, with body protectors over the jacket if worn. No flapping ties! All Judges are selected by the organizers for their experience and professionalism, the decisions they make should therefore be respected. The decision of the judge in all classes on the day is final. Any rider, spectator or handler thought to be excessively or unnecessarily abusing judges, stewards or organizers of events will be escorted off the premises. Any objections to points awarded must be made before the end of the following show. The points will be displayed by the 3rd show of the season, so there is plenty of time for errors to be corrected. Show jumping classes, with the exception of novice/novelty classes, will be run according to BSJA rules. Competitors please note, if you are showing someone else’s horse, you must be the member, not them, in order to take advantage of lower entry fees and gain points. If you intend to show two or more horses and may need an alternate handler, you must both be members to receive reduced entry fees and points. The same combination must have competed in the relevant class for the whole points season to be eligible for STARS – this includes lead rein classes. The name of the horse or pony must be kept the same for the entire season. If the name of the animal changes, a new set of points will be started. In order to qualify for the chance to win a trophy at the end of the season, the same combination must have competed in the appropriate class on at least 4 occasions. Trophies will only be presented to the winner at the presentation dance and not to nominees. Excessive use of whips is forbidden. Cruelty or mistreatment of animals will not be tolerated; this includes leaving dogs in cars on a hot day. All dogs must be on leads at all times. Stallions will only be permitted if well behaved and with a handler 14 years or over for shows. The judge has the right to disqualify unruly animals. The organizers and Judges reserve the right to refuse entry in the event of unsoundness such as lameness, coughing, Etc… No horse or Pony under 4yrs of age may be ridden on the show ground. Galloping is forbidden on the premises. Please park where directed. Sometimes it will not be possible to tie up to the side of your box. Please put your litter in the bins provided, and we ask you kindly not to muck out your horse boxes onto the parking areas. No fires, barbecues or naked flames are allowed on the show ground. Children must be supervised by an adult and not allowed to play around farm machinery or climb trees Etc… Beginners dressage tests (bp) are open to beginner riders to dressage who have never won an open prelim test or competed at novice level. Once you have won a beginners test 3 times you may not enter it again with the exception of lead rein. In the event that we have not received your dressage entry fee by the Thursday prior to the competition you will not be entered. Cancellations made after the Wednesday before the test will result in forfeiture of entry fees with no exceptions. Strictly no dressage entry payments on the day! Our members only loyalty scheme only applies to the children’s ring. You will receive a card with your back number and name membership number. Only classes that member has competed in can be marked on the card. Each class is worth 1 stamp, after 8 stamps, you will be able to redeem a free class. The free class can be used for any of our points shows except dressage. We may perform random spot checks from the points book to ensure compliance. Arena hire is available under the following terms and conditions of use (also applies to any livery clients): Droppings must be picked up immediately, Anything seen to be broken must be reported immediately, If hiring the arena with jumps, please return everything to the way it was found. Membership Details: Your membership details are held purely for the membership process of issuing and verifying your membership number of the means of discounted entries fees and recording of your entry and points record. Data held in the Membership form, includes your Name, Address, Mobile, Email Address and Membership number. Entry Details: Entry details are recorded on the class sheets, this comprises of your Membership Status, Back Number, Name and Horse/Pony Name and relevant placings. This data is used purely for the record of attendance and any point allocation for the placings in the class. Points Records: Points records are maintained during the session, which include Member Name and Horse/Pony Name and are recorded in each class entered during the session. This data is used purely for the record of attendance and any point allocation for the placings in the class. Points records are maintained and published during the season and at the final presentation evening. The points book will be available for any other members to view. Published points will be shown on the website and Facebook at the end of the season and announced at the presentation evening. Members names maybe redacted if requested in writing to the riding club. For more information visit: abramhallrc.co.uk CHAPS UK QUALIFIER DETAILS This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation number – 20139. Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card in the ring for signing by the judge. Members must apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for an appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on the 12th – 15th August, 2020. Shows held on or after the 9th of august 2020 will count as 2021 qualifiers. Only Skewbalds/Piebalds may compete these classes. All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception.
SSADL QUALIFIER DETAILS CLASS 47 MIXED AGE IN-HAND PONY OR HORSE 15 Years old & over CLASS 26 MIXED AGE RIDDEN PONY OR HORSE 15 Years old & over • The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL home produced, first round qualifiers only are open to both members and non-members of SSADL • No Spurs • No Galloping • No wearing of face/body jewellery • Foals are not permitted in SSADL classes • The minimum age of handlers is 9 years old for In-Hand classes • First Ridden riders must be capable of riding around the show ring at all paces in a group and to be in full control of their mount • Competitors must be 16 years of age or over to show Stallions in either In-Hand or Ridden classes • Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given THE RIDER / HANDLER / PONY / HORSE COMBINATION MUST STAY THE SAME FROM FIRST / SECOND ROUND / DIRECT ROUTE QUALIFIERS AND GRAND FINAL. ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING. THE SSADL RULEBOOK CAN BE FOUND AT: www.seniorshowinganddressage.co.uk COMPETITORS ONLY NEED ONE QUALIFICATION CARD PER SECTION PER SEASON IN HAND AND/OR RIDDEN IF ALREADY QUALIFIED. THIS CARD MUST BE HANDED DOWN THE LINE. SSADL qualification cards and keep sake prize cards will be handed out to 1st to 6th in the ring at the time of presentation. 1ST to 3RD in each class will receive a £10 voucher, kindly sponsored by Anthony Evans insurance. NEXT STAGE - OLYMPIA 2ND ROUND QUALIFIERS: You can only compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Second Round Qualifiers if you are a 2020 member of SSADL and hold the 2020 membership card. Once you have qualified at a First Round Qualifier and you have received an Acceptance card, only then may you compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans Second Round Qualifiers. The Second Round Champions will go on to compete at the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced Supreme Final at Olympia ,The London International Horse Show in December 2020. Once a competitor has qualified for the Olympia Grand Final they may continue to compete at any 2nd Round Qualifiers, but they will NOT be eligible to enter the Olympia Qualifying Championships. In this instance the second placed competitor will be eligible for this championship. Once a competitor has qualified for Olympia in the Ridden section they are NOT allowed to qualify in the In Hand section and vice versa. Follow this road (do not turn off it at all) for approximately 3 miles. You will pass a pub on the left called the Dover Lock. Go over the canal bridge, past a row of parked cars, a bus shelter and railings on the left. Turn left after the railings between terraced houses 376 and 378.
