IT’S JUST UOR WAY Throughout our history, the University of Reading has focused on people and the issues that are important to them. This has helped us to be at the forefront of social change for a century. We were educating and promoting women before they could vote in the UK. Our leaders played a key role in decriminalising homosexuality in the middle of the twentieth century. And we have led the world for decades in understanding and responding to climate change. In the 2020s, the University of Reading way continues. We continue to harness the power of people, acting within their own communities to change the world. Our students and staff are encouraged not only to learn, but to share their knowledge with others, helping to shape the future.
