COMMISSION ON AGING We are excited to announce that our new “Senior Resource Center” in the low- er level of the Dozier Recreation Complex is now open. A formal dedication to this space was done last year and programs have resumed. Please stop by to see our new space and join us for some fun and fellowship. We no longer have the office at Twin Towers – all programs and staff are at The Dozier. Even more exciting is the news from Mayor Patrick Wimberly and Congress- woman Rashida Tlaib that Inkster was successful in obtaining $2.5 million dollars to build a senior wellness center on the north end of the Dozier Recreation Complex. This, in addition to the remodeling that Wayne County is funding for The Dozier, will offer a new and improved recreation complex for all our citizens to enjoy and be proud of. The Commission on Aging provides non-financial supportive services to se- nior citizens living in Inkster. We offer transportation for medical appointments, weekly shopping trips, a shuttle service to attend programs at The Dozier as well as home delivered meals. Enhance Fitness is back live at The Dozier. Please join us on Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. SAVE THE DATE • COA Meetings – 1 p.m. on the 3rd Friday of every month at The Complex.
