Since its inception in 2009, The Diamond Event has raised nearly $5 million to
support children’s critical care, state-of-the-art equipment and pioneering research
at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.
We have made an immeasurable difference to the lives of countless children and
their families at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and hope you will partner with
us on Thursday, 17 February 2022, as we continue our joint fundraising efforts and
create a long-lasting legacy for the future of paediatric health.

The Diamond Event is a signature fundraising event of Sydney Children’s Hospitals
Foundation. Over the past 12 years it has invested nearly $5 million in the latest equipment,
ground-breaking research and brightest medical minds at Sydney Children’s Hospital,
Randwick.
From the hospital wards to the treatment rooms, the research labs to outreach programs, this
event has been crucial in changing the landscape of children’s health, all while delivering
exceptional value to stakeholders and keeping costs lower than most other fundraising events.

The Diamond Event is a celebrated, cocktail event attended by some of Sydney’s most
corporate elite. Combining celebrity MC’s, music and entertainment, live auction, live pledging,
jewellery and holiday raffles, this cocktail event raises much needed funds to

help all sick kids, no matter where, no matter what.
This is a COVIDSafe event and adheres to the NSW Health guidelines.

The Diamond Event has raised nearly $5 million for Sydney
Children’s Hospitals Foundation and supported vital services at
Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
Vital equipment in the Emergency Department such as trauma beds,
portable vital monitors, high flow humidifiers and a new patient
monitoring software system.
12 Fellows across a number of hospital departments including;
Emergency, Surgery, Respiratory, Oncology, Sleep, Dermatology and Pain. Past Fellow Dr Karen Zwi & Community Paediatrician,
Head of Community Child Health
Investment in hospital Staff has enabled training for the Emergency Department, nursing scholarships, four life support courses,
cystic fibrosis research, coaching and consulting sessions and service training manikins to practice procedures.
Seven years of supporting the Excellence in Emergency Program for medical staff in the Emergency Department Quality Project.
One of the largest and most trusted kid’s health charities in the country, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation exists to help provide all children with access to the best possible healthcare, whenever and wherever they need it. We have been delivering on this promise for the last 35 years, raising millions every year for a collective of two major children’s hospitals, specialised care services and cutting-edge paediatric research operating across NSW. A conduit, an enabler, and a mechanism for powerful change, we make sure funds raised go directly to the front line of children’s healthcare – from the hospital wards to the treatment rooms, the research labs to the outreach programs. Our success is only possible because of the ongoing generosity of the community. As one of our key fundraisers, The Diamond Event has a crucial part to play in helping us connect the best paediatric research and practice with people who are inspired to create change.

The Diamond Event 2022 will once again be raising vital funds for the Fellowship Program at
Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. The Fellowship Program has been running for 23 years
nurturing the leaders of tomorrow and acting as a springboard for Australia’s brightest minds
to lead the way in paediatric treatment, care and research.
The Fellowship Program ensures the most promising clinicians can continue to develop in
their chosen specialist area right here in Sydney. Like Dr Laura Fawcett, who joined us for The
Diamond Event 2019. During her fellowship, she was involved in the care of over 180 patients Dr Laura Fawcett at 2019 Diamond Event
and built upon collective knowledge in the field that will pave the way for medical
breakthroughs.
By supporting The Diamond Event, you’ll be investing in the people who lead the way in new
treatments, research, training and care for children who desperately need it.
