2021 Series Champion Awards The C.S.T.A. will award Series Champion buckles to winners of four yardage groups: (21-22.5, 23-24.5, 25-26.5, 27) and for seven special categories in the 19-20.5 - Lady, Elder, Senior Veteran, Veteran, Junior and Sub-Junior. California Series - QUALIFYING and ELIGIBILITY: Open to all members of the P.I.T.A. from any State or Province. Membership is the shooter’s responsibility. No scores will be counted unless P.I.T.A. membership is current. Only “California Series” shoot scores will be counted. Note that not all California P.I.T.A. shoots are certified as “California Series” shoot events. Clubs hosting “California Series” events will advertise as such. Your Yardage and Special Category eligibility at your first Series Shoot event will remain the same for the entire 2021 series Tournament changes such as age and yardage advancements do not change your entry status. For Example: Should you begin the Series Tournament as a Junior or as a 21-22.5 yard shooter, you will compete in the same category/group for the entire tournament, even if during that time you become older than the Junior age range or punched to a longer yardage. However, if your yardage changes you must then shoot from the longer/promoted yardage or from an applied/granted reduced yardage. Regardless of a change, all certified scores are still applied based upon your initial qualification status. To become eligible to win one of the four yardage groups (21-22.5, 23- 24.5, 25-26.5, 27) , a shooter must shoot at least 500 16-yard singles, 500 handicap and 500 doubles (250 pair, in 50 pair events). To become eligible to win any of the Special Category events (yardage 19- 20.5, Lady, Elder, Senior Veteran, Veteran, Junior and Sub-Junior), a shooter must shoot at least 500 16-yard singles and 500 handicap. Category ages: A Veteran has attained their 65th birthday, a Senior Veteran has attained their 70th birthday and an Elder has attained their 75th birthday. A Sub-Junior is a person who has not attained their 15th birthday. A junior is a person who has not attained their 18th birthday. You may win only one group/category award. Example: If you score is High Junior and High 21-22.5 yardage, you will be awarded the 21-22.5 yardage group award only. 2021 Series Award Shoot Eel River Trap Club - November 6 & 7, 2021 32

HISTORY AND PAST PRESIDENTS OF THE CALIFORNIA STATE TRAPSHOOTING ASSOCIATION The California Trapshooting Association was originally founded in 1915 by Colonel O. N. Ford. The association conducted shoots during this period of time. However, the first official written document dated June 20, 1920, is from Col. Ford concerning perpetual purses. He was apparently the ex-officio President, Secretary and Treasurer until the association was officially organized on July 27, 1935, and C. W. Wood was elected President and O. N. Ford was elected Secretary. In 1972, The California State Trapshooting Association officially filed for incorporation as a not-for-profit corporation. The following are the Past Presidents elected for the years indicated: 1935-37 C. W. Wood 1974-75 Manuel Mingoia 1999 Paul Albini 193242 A. P.
