2021/2022 Board Member Composition Lori Bolton, President Director of Human Resources City of Orillia Lori Bolton serves as OMHRA’s President. She previously held the positions of Vice President of Finance and Stakeholder Relations and Chair of the Stakeholder Relations Committee. Lori is the Director of Human Resources for the City of Orillia, where she has worked for more than three decades. Lori directs and administers the corporate human resources function, including employee labour relations, collective bargaining, compensation and benefits administration, employee performance management, corporate training and development, health and safety functions, and payroll. Mark Ellis, Vice-President Finance and Sponsorship Committee General Manager, Human Resources Services City of Guelph Mark Ellis is Vice President of OMHRA and Chair of the Finance and Sponsorship Committee. Mark currently serves as General Manager of Human Resources for the City of Guelph. He is a highly experienced Human Resource executive with a proven track record of facilitating improved business results. He specializes in building and leading high performing teams, establishing HR as a leader within an organization and improving labour / employee relations. Mark’s professional background includes global executive experience as well as experience in both a federally regulated work environment and the non-profit sector (Health Care). 1
Jason MacLean, Vice-President Advocacy & Member Services Manager of Client Services City of Niagara Falls Jay MacLean is Vice President of OMHRA and Chair of the Advocacy and Member Services Committee as well as Chair of the Transit Municipalities Working Group. He was previously Chair of the Education Committee. As the Manager of Client Services for the City of Niagara Falls, Jay provides leadership and guidance to all levels of management and employees in the areas of Corporate policies, performance management, collective bargaining, human rights, labour relations, as well as many other employment matters. He has developed and overseen various HR Strategies and Change Management programs to foster healthy employee relations and to ensure alignment with municipal Strategic Priorities. Jay has also served as a High-Performance Consultant for many of Canada’s Olympic Athletes during the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games. He was also an athlete on Canada’s National Olympic Weightlifting Team for ten years. Louise Ann Riddell, Past President Senior Manager, Healthy Workplace City of Mississauga Louise Ann Riddell is Past President of OMHRA. She spearheaded the relaunch of our Labour Relations Information System (LRIS) Database. Louise Ann is the Senior Manager, Healthy Workplace for the City of Mississauga, where she is responsible for Labour & Employee Relations, Corporate Health & Safety and Employee Health Services. In addition to her role as Past President of OMHRA, she currently serves on the executive committee of the Emergency Services Steering Committee. 2
Janet Ashfield, Director Manager, Employee and Labour Relations & Health and Safety City of Markham Janet has significant experience in the public and private sector as a Business Partner with a strong labour and employee relations background. She is a solution oriented, trusted advisor and provides guidance and advice across all facets of Human Resources. She is a firm believer in Wellness and has implemented strong Wellness programs across a number of different organizations. She is a member of the Emergency Services Steering Committee. Susan Farrelly, Director Director of Human Resources County of Wellington Susan is a Director of OMHRA and represents the Association on the Ontario Municipal Management Institute (OMMI) Executive Committee and OMMI Sub- Committee. She has served as OMHRA Vice President and co-Chair of the Education Committee. Susan is the Director of Human Resources for the County of Wellington with over 20 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, spanning Municipal Government, Health Care and Research and Development organizations. An active member of her community, Susan has also served with the Rotary Club of Guelph and on the Executive for the Board of Directors with Hospice Wellington during the time of the building of a 10-bed palliative care residence. 3
La-Verne Georgiadis, Director Manager, Benefits and Employee Services City of Toronto La-Verne Georgiadis is a Member of the OMHRA Board of Directors. She is the Manager of Benefits and Employee Services for the City of Toronto and has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources in both the public and private sectors with a focus on Compensation, Benefits and HRIS. La-Verne is also a member of the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute Ontario Regional Council. Colleen Hickey, Director Manager of Human Resources and Health and Safety Services United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Colleen Myers Hickey is the Chair of OMHRA’s Education Committee. She has served as Manager of Human Resources and Health and Safety for the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville since 2015. In this role, she provides human resource expertise in labour relations, contract negotiations, recruitment, benefits and compensation, organization development and payroll. She is also responsible for Health and Safety and for Training and Development. Colleen has over 20 years of municipal HR experience and 10 years in private industry. She strives to support and assist management and staff in achieving legislative compliance and maintaining harmonious workplace relations. 4
Jeff Ingram, Director Director, Clinic Employee Engagement Halton Region Jeff is the Manager of Employee Relations with Halton Region providing guidance and direction in the areas of Employee and Labour Relations, Employee Engagement, Policy Development and Performance Management. He is an experienced Human Resources Leader with 18 years of developing and overseeing the delivery of innovative employee focused services in both the Public and Private Sector. Jeff is an adept Leader with demonstrated experience directing a team of Human Resource Professionals in all areas of the Human Resources Experience ensuring a balance between employee needs and organizational goals and objectives. A former collegiate athlete, Jeff now volunteers his time as a Coach in both baseball and football teaching and developing skills for youth while creating a passion for sport. Danielle Leonard, Director Human Resources Consultant Loyalist Township Danielle is the Emerging Leader representative on the OMHRA Board of Directors. She has three years of progressive experience in Human Resources. Danielle began working for Loyalist in 2018 after graduating from Concordia University with a double major in Accounting & Management. In her current role she focuses on Health & Safety, Recruitment & Selection, and Disability Management, while also supporting the Payroll & Benefits functions. Danielle was previously the vice president of CUPE local 2150 and worker co-chair of the Joint Health & Safety Committee. She now sits as a management chair of the JHSC and coordinates the committee’s activities. Danielle is also a member of the Canadian Payroll Association. 5
Tracey McKenna, Director Director of People Services Town of Caledon Tracey McKenna chairs the Inside/Outside Workers Working Group. She currently services as Director of People Services for the Town of Caledon. She has extensive experience in both the municipal sector and health care human resource management. Jane Parr, Director Human Resources Director County of Simcoe Jane is the chair of the Long-Term Care Working Group. Jane is HR Director for the County of Simcoe and has extensive experience in both the public (Municipal and Health Care) and private (Manufacturing) sectors. She previously served as Chair and a member of a number of Human Resources Committees with the Ontario Hospital Association, and a member of several not-for-profit Boards. She is currently a memberAdvisory Board for Laridae Communications Inc. Erin Vries, Director Manager of Human Resources including Health, Safety & Wellness Hastings County Erin is Chair of the Paramedic Services Working Group. She has over 25 years of extensive Human Resources and Labour Relations experience. Her area of practice includes municipal, long-term care (private and municipally owned) and acute multisite hospitals. Erin has also participated as a member of the Ontario Hospital Association Provincial Central Collective Bargaining Committee. 6
