Your girl won't remember her best day of watching TV ....she is sure to have great adventures and make friends she will never forget! I had the chance to return to my hometown and relive some of the emotions I had as a girl. The experience was eye-opening. Upon returning to my high school and while walking along my school hallways, I was flooded with the memories of my teenage years. Feelings of fearful insecurity, academic challenges, and uncertainty surfaced in a surprising way. It gave me pause. In the same trip back to Miami, I went from my high school to revisit my Girl Scout summer camp. The emotions and memories that surfaced here were of laughter, discovery, learning, wonder, and thrill. Jan and the participants of the 2019 Reflecting on these diametrically-opposed memory blasts, I was International Trip to Canada with the CEO. struck by the powerfully positive Girl Scout memories and realized ▼ Photobomb ! how meaningfully important my childhood Girl Scout journeys had been in shaping me. This important and affirming impact on girls is exactly what our camps build in girls today: a safe, intriguing space for girls to thrive and grow. I’m so very proud of our camps and the dedicated staff who make Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan camps one of the very best places for girls to find their potential, build unshakeable memories, and create lifelong friends. Which session (or sessions) will your family choose to give your girl a memory she’ll cherish and an adventure that will bolster her happiness and long-term success? Imagine what a supportive, girl-led camp setting will do to shape your girl. Give the gift of Girl Scout camp and build a girl's potential greatness and goodness!
