2020 COLLECTION recycling, yard trimmings, green can & garbage guide RECYCLE BC TO MANAGE RECYCLING COLLECTION Starting July 1, 2020, Recycle BC will begin to directly manage residential recycling collection in West Vancouver. • weekly recycling collection schedule and guidelines will remain the same • this will not impact garbage or organics collection • no action is required on your part at this time Recycle BC and the District will provide more information in spring 2020. Feeding bears, even unintentionally, is against the law. Accepted materials (no charge) • there is no charge to drop off the recyclables listed here • all materials must be clean and sorted • staff reserve the right to refuse any materials plastic foam plastic bags curbside packaging & overwrap recyclables North Shore Transfer Station The North Shore Transfer Station provides one-stop service for recycling, yard trimmings and waste disposal. The designated recycling area accepts large loads of curbside recycling and recyclable materials that aren’t accepted at the corrugated cooking oil beverage curb. Look for the designated recycling area beside the main cardboard containers transfer station entrance. Residents can also drop off gypsum/drywall, mattresses, food scraps (10 litres or less) and green waste for recycling at the North Shore Transfer Station.
