On the 27th, an email will be sent to all Libro. fm customers with a link to collect their free audiobooks. The offer will end midnight, PST. How you can promote: This is a gift you get to share with your customers. Share the assets on social media and via email promoting the free audiobooks. Encourage customers to create their free account prior to Independent Bookstore Day. Benefits to Bookstores: New Libro.fm accounts mean new audiobook customers connected to your store. They will be able to try the platform for free and any subsequent purchases they make for themselves or as gifts will directly benefit your store. Because there is no commitment, this is a perfect time to try audiobooks for the first time or make the switch from audiobook providers who fund big business. Order as many as you think your store(s) can give out in April—from 500 to 15,000 (multiples of 500 only). All stores participating in Bookstore Day must agree to give out the IBD bookmarks in place of or in addition to their own bookmarks with every transaction for the month of April. It’s a great way to remind your customers about IBD! Each bookmark has a small space, 2” x 1”, for your store’s stamp or sticker. Your bookmarks will be shipped by the ABA and will arrive with your March ABA RED BOX. Please keep an eye out for it. 28
