Registration and Late Fees All entries close 11:00am Tuesday 18th July, 2017 Registering for the SA Interschools at Falls Creek Please register via the SA Interschools website at www.sainterschools.com.au. Here you will also find more information about the event, past SA Interschools and how you can become a part of our amazing Volunteer program. Registering as a Minor, and Registering as an over 18 For legal reasons junior participants cannot sign themselves up for the race online. A parent will need to be present to sign their minor up. If you are over 18 however, you are legally able to sign yourself to the event, or to the Volunteer program. Which Division am I in? Creating a Team—what are we competing for? Trophies are awarded to Schools with the greatest number of points acquired during the competitions. Male and female team times for each school, in both secondary and primary categories, determine the number of points awarded. First, second and third place getters in each division will be awarded med- als. Individual trophies are also awarded to the fastest primary and secondary male and female skier and boarder. Plus, the week is fun filled and a great way to make new friends! Even as a beginner racer, you are still a valuable part of a team! For ski teams, 3 or 4 participants are required, and for snowboarding 2 or 3 participants are required. The best 3 results for skiing and the best 2 results for boarding count, so as long as you cross the finish line you could earn your team some winning times! If you are signing up as a solo, talk to those at your school that might be interested in forming a team. If we notice that you could become a part of a team we will notify you and try to place you together. Late Registration Fees Late Registration Fees ($?) will apply from Tuesday 4th of July so make sure you get yourself signed up early! Booking Tips and Hints Book early Booking accommodation early can be essential to getting the best deal and price available. Falls Creek is a very busy little town that often runs at 100% capacity for accommodation over the busy periods. As with accommodation and resort entry, lift tickets can be cheaper when bought online prior to the date. Visit the Falls Creek website to book yours at www.fallscreek.com.au Allow plenty of time to get to Falls Creek Falls Creek is notorious for both amazing blue bird days… and typical winter weather! During Ju- ly Falls Creek often has snow down past the resort on the way up the mountain, so ensure that you leave enough time to get up the beautiful (and windy) roads. Also note that all vehicles that travel up the resort road must carry chains. Ensure you know how to fit your chains prior to arri- val, just in case you need to use them as Falls Creek is a Ski in, Ski out village. Make sure you assign yourself to a team on your online registration. Make sure you get yourself involved in a team for your chance to win the highly sought after school trophies! Get your friends involved and create your teams, or we can help assign you into one. Make sure your contact details are current and on the registration system. We will use our online registration system to contact team captains with any important infor- mation during the week—so ensure your details are up to date and your adult captain will be with you during your trip! First time to the snow? No worries! Visit our handy online guide to see a helpful checklist if it’s your first time visiting Falls Creek or the snow: http://www.fallscreek.com.au/tripplanner/ What else is going on around the Resort that week To see what other events and activities are going on this week and throughout the season, visit our Activities section on the Falls Creek website at http://www.fallscreek.com.au/ and hit the “at the Resort” tab!
